Haven't posted in this thread before, but here goes. This is a kitchen I just finished decorating last play-through. I was trying to make it look a bit cluttered (one of the sims, while not too sloppy, is supposed to be a bit disorganised. Plus, the kitchen's kinda small, so that contributes.), but not feel like the place is messy and junky, and still have a very "home-y" feel to it. Not sure if I really succeeded, but I still like the end result.

Tenielle, I love that last kitchen you posted. The bottles on top of the fridge were a great detail and the colors were calming without being bland!

soxs_may42 that nursery is adorable and so appropriate for little ones, I LOVED it.

Tenielle: Your rooms are always so lovely, they look lived-in without looking overly cluttered (which I'll admit I can be awfully guilty of), and it's obvious that they're older houses or houses which people have lived in for awhile, yet still manage to look nice and clean (without looking as though they've been refurnished, if that makes sense). I also love the pic of the study filled with the cardboard boxes.
I do have to ask though, where did you find that star mobile in the last picture of 3 Willow Lane (the girl's room one)? I simply ask because I've seen it in other people's photos on other sites, but can't seem to properly track down where it came from.

I sadly don't have much to offer at the moment, I either keep forgetting to take pics, I move onto another building and leave the one I'm working on unfinished, or the game somehow eats them after I take them.

I'll put up a few more pics of that house, which is a re-model of a downloaded house, which I re-named "little suburban lovely" because that family is so Leave It to Beaver-ish. Only the parents are both gay men, and Deneb is half-alien (abduction baby, not CAS-alien like the rest of the hood). Seriously, it's practically a sitcom house over there, but is so sweet and enjoyable to play.

A slightly alternate version of the master bedroom for another sim who was given a clone of the same house. This is a single sim who is taking care of a pair of adopted child-age girls, so I've been re-doing the room a bit, though I still haven't gotten around to changing that much.

For the closet, I just put in one wall segment and a couple of those clothes racks that came with Apartment Life. It's the kind of thing you see in hotel rooms, but I think it looks nice anywhere. One wall segment is, what, 70 Simoleons? The racks 75 each, so for 220 you have a decent closet that doesn't take a lot of room.

I like making houses underground. No windows, but you get one big*ss skylight... that doesn't really work, so you need to turn the lights on while you play. And the camera doesn't get that low, which makes taking pictures a nightmare. *Sigh*, why did they made basements so hard to play?

Even unfinished this is completely amazing opitical illusion that I love looking from the kitchen to the living room. What is the optical illusion? Well at first glance, or still think that the hallway is small? Count the stairs look at the picture, and the curved arch way. Also, it's not a hallway in matter of fact the way the house is built you don't see the large entrance way. XD The largeish bathroom blocks your site. Furthermore if you look from the living room to the kitchen the same thing occurs again (thought I uploaded the pic but I didn't). If you ever want a large house without the look of wide open gappy spaces this is the house.

I built a new apartment building in Pleasantview and decided to move the Oldies in. This is the rooftop, my most favourite :) Now if only that damn plumbob wasn't in the way.

One of my favorite rooms in all my sims is Aaron Piper's kitchen, he lives with his partner Oliver and their adopted daughter Lyndsy but Aaron stays at home and paints and when his office walls were full I moved all his paintings to the sunken kitchen and now it's his gallery. A good way to show off his work to family and friends who visit :)

I renovated Legacy HQ from 60's drab to New-10's fab! This is the newly renovated nursery for my heiress' babies, Joss and Jamie Meyers. Jamie's a boy, but I believe that pink isn't just for girls! I added in a blue rug to balance things out.

They put a lot aside to re-carpet and repaint the main upstairs hallway into a more functional and practical space, hanging photos once in the founder's master bedroom for everyone to see as Claire and Germanium take the space.

This picture is of the registry office in Danselle Cove Town Hall. The original building is Brixham City Hall (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=174580) by starrling (http://www.modthesims.info/member.php?u=269354).

I left it almost exactly as it is, but I changed the little deli/diner into the registry office so that my non-religious sims who want an indoor wedding can get married there. In my game sims may only take jobs in career tracks that have an actual physical location in town (sort of Sims 3 style, except that sims don't actually go there to work), so Danselle Cove Town Hall will be the location that allows sims to take jobs in Politics.

I used Inge/marhis' wedding arch which allows sims to marry without being in love or anything because I may want to have weddings of convenience or arranged marriages at some point. I decided that, if you were marrying someone you weren't in love with, you'd be most likely to have a civil wedding at the Town Hall, so I will use normal Maxis wedding arches in St Catherine's Church and the two (?) parks and the beach.

There is seating for 6 guests, a wedding cake to cut and a bottle of champagne for toasting the couple. There are plenty of flowers and rose petals under the arch. There is a general yellow theme in the room, though this could be changed if couples preferred a different colour scheme for their wedding.

Ginger Hawkins loves her new kitchen. This used to be the rec-room/nursery, but the kitchen next door was dangerously cramped. Now they've rearranged the living and dining rooms, redone the old kitchen as a nursery for this last child, and she has all kinds of room for her belly!

The Alma Mater Foundation having bought the campus house, they have remodeled a good deal. There used to be a long, inconvenient bathroom separating the hall and the living room. Now you have to go around the bathroom to get to the kitchen and dining room, but they have room for a parrot cage and kicky bag without routing fits!

I was tired of how much of an effort it took to allow some casual woohoo to take place in Dorms. If you don't buy a double bed for every dorm room, you're going to have to manually have other aspiring virginity-exterminators relax on some other person's bed. Or you just have a horny couple with nowhere to go besides the couch.

So, I took an empty dorm room, and created the ALMIGHTY CHAMBER OF COITUS. This is the entrance.

The ALMIGHTY CHAMBER OF COITUS has everything a couple needs or wants for a delightful night. We do mean everything. Who knows what is stashed under that bed?

It is the room that holds all other dorm rooms in their pitiful, lonely position. It is the room all hormone-addled college kids desire to enter.
