Based on information received, we have tried to add support to s3oc for World Adventures. Originally, s3oc did not support EPs. This release has a new configuration file, "s3oc-ini.ttl", used to define all the necessary files that the program uses.
We would like your input, whether you have WA yet or not, to confirm that this version works (or not... :(). Please state whether you have WA or the patch installed when posting.
Easy install version

When you first start it, go into Settings|Game folders and see if you need to set it up differently.
I am particularly interested in how things work for users with non-english settings.

Thank you. I wonder why the basegame tick is not ticked - it is for me. Also can you tell me that after you have made those settings, the cloner does work and offers you all the expected objects?

The base game Enabled checkbox should be disabled, which it looks like it is. Looks okay.

Well mine was disabled and *ticked*. it's disconcerting to see it disabled and *not* ticked.

When I open the programm/setting again, then the path for the base game is gone. If I'm not mistaken, the mini pictures of adventure does not appear
It is not possible to make the checkbox from the Basegame to true or false

I am running Windows 7. I have WA installed but not the 1.6 or 1.7 patches. I'm not having problems with the game to require a patch at this time. I'm also using the english version of the game.
My settings were the same as Mc's. No need for screenshot there. I cloned an object with no problems, loaded it into s3pe for 1.6, did the recolor, saved. No problems with that either. Loaded back into s3oc, fixed and saved. No problems. Tested in game. No problems.

I noticed 6 items in the s3oc for wa that are labelled:
"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
Position of TGIblock"
Not sure what it means but I thought I'd tell you.

Maybe yet another new OBJD format. Would it be possible for you to use s3pe to make a small package containing the OBJDs of those items and send it to me? (you can probably attach it here).
Before opening the resources in s3pe, tick "Hex only" to prevent the error being triggered and corrupting the output.

This is not working for me I have tried to edit a few objects since installing WA and they never show up and yes I do have the newest one (s3oc_0911-20-1415.exe) , also I did have to go into settings to set it up different, I use vista and I know the setup is different then XP.

Hide Game Folders' "Enabled" checkbox if it cannot be used.
Game Folders' Edit button enable status tracks whether the entry can be edited effectively.
Pick up thumbnails in EP1.
Drop legacy File->New menu entry.
Also pick up CommonBlock version 0x0D change.
I edit paintings. The thumbnails do finally show up in cloning and they do show up in the converted package file to extract, but there is still no img under tag to extract in the cloned file. I am using the version you have listed as updated on 11/22

Just for your info, When I clone the Police Car, of course I put UsedCar2 so it can work as I did in the package before and still gives the blue screen of death to the neighborhood. That is the only car that is giving trouble.

Not sure if I missed something here, but...
When I set up the Game Folders initially (1), all is well. But once I close the cloner and come back in, I don't have the files for both (2). I have to set up the EP folder again.

It's working ok for me. Please uninstall your s3oc completely, and then manually remove its folder. Then install the latest and try again.

it's paintingAsian. I've only had a problem with that one. The old paintings open the file needed to edit. I have uninstalled and reinstalled s3oc a couple of times to make sure. If you look at the attached jpg it shows which version of s3oc I'm running. BTW, awesome program and thanks for making it.

Oh! Ok lol most objects are called soemthing different in the two situations. Let's see if I can find it then...
Bearing in mind I'm not really creating objects for sims3, can you explain in more detail what you are unable to do with this painting? I don't really know what you mean by "no IMG under tag" What resource were you hoping to edit that you can't find. It's not the thumbnails is it?

I see the same as debbiecia with the paintingFrance file.
There is an IMG file for the actual painting that you Export, Edit and Replace, but it is not there for the EP paintings.

Yes please. Really what I am looking for is a corrupt settings file and s3oc_ini.ttl. If you are confident to check those without uninstalling, then do try that instead if you prefer.
Your settings file will be in Application Data in your own personal folders.

Ok for the problem of not gettnig the image in your paintings, you can untick "default resources only" for the time being. It will of course make your packages larger than need be, so you might like to use the two-pass method of cloning so you can get rid of the resources you didn't need between the steps.
Why did they do this? I hate EA lol!
You hate EA??? The game is so choppy for me, I don't even know if I can play it any more (I get video game motion sickness). I've uninstalled, reinstalled, loaded individual patches. I can get rid of the choppiness providing I don't update past 1.4. That means I can't reinstall WA. I HATE EA.
I'll give that a try once I reinstall WA again. Thank you for all of your help.
untick "default resources only"
I opened paintingAsian to clone and by unticking default resources it did give the correct part to edit the painting. The funny thing was when I opened the package back up to fix in s3oc, it gave paintingAsian and PaintingFlowers obj. I only clicked on the paintingAsian. All seemed to go good until I placed the painting in the game, the painting was there but the frame was bad, (black with no detail.)

We have discovered a piece of data that was being used for renumbering during cloning, but which should now evidently be left out of the equation. This should not apply backwards to previously created objects but will cause problems with cloning some objects after the EP. We're obviously working on a fix right now.
Hello, Inge, my question is, is it safe to clone (plants) right now or should I wait?
I have installed WA and I'm using the latest cloner that is available in this thread. I'd like to fix my broken plants so that people can use them again, by cloning them off another base object.

The current test version is not considered stable enough to be making content to share. There are still problems being reported with it, as you can see above. Only the old s3oc, cloning from pre-patch game files, is passed for full production. Once it is considered stable, it will be updated in the sticky download threads.
We do, however, ask that creators attempt to make new content from the test cloner, otherwise we won't get enough feedback to help with development! But just regard that new content as "test" content for the time being.

There is an error in s3oc storing custom folders. It'll get fixed in the next release.

Not only is the Game Folders issue fixed but this version appears to successfully clone EP1 objects and have them show up in the game... and get the numbering right... We think!

I've only cloned a curtain so far and imported into another package but it's all worked okay showing fine in the game with all the relevant defaults etc so I'd say its working okay for the patch. I'll let you know if I come across any problems with anything else.
