Consignment store: new problem

I just got the new EP and you have no idea how happy I was to visit all the new places. I had some trouble in the beginning getting it to work, but eventually I got the game running with no problems. Or so I thought. I got the glitch where you can't sell things at the consignment store, but the way to fix it is unavailable to me. I can't click on the cash register at the consignment store. I highly doubt it's because of CC because I have very few mods and all of them are up to date, and none of them have this issue. Also, none of my inventor's family members can use the consignment store and I've never used it before at all. Please help!

Did you perchance visit a foreign land at any point since updating to the latest Patch ?

Try installing SuperComputer Overwatch: It has code to fix one of the nastier errors regarding consignment.

I briefly visited a foreign land after I installed it. I'll try the mod though, thanks.

It could be caused by a mod named fix_photography or something like that.

Great. Just perfect. I tried to start the sims 3 up again and now it just won't start. I'm uninstalling and reinstalling Ambitions. If that doesn't work, I'd say I have a MUCH bigger problem than just the consignment store register.

I have occasionally had to uninstall and re-install the whole shebang just to get rid of some piece of buggy, badly-coded, something that got in and infected my game. Some of Rose's clothes, or a funky object that came in a house, it does happen. when something that fundamental breaks it is usually a sign that something bigger is going on. :P

I can't get my Consignment Store to work, either, and EA Customer Support is of no help whatsoever.

Interesting. I always wondered what that place was really for. I heard it was for selling self made items but I never figured out it was supposed to work. Tried clicking lots of things but never did find any options related to selling items. In the end, I just ignored the place. So it looks like I have the bug too. :) :) :) Not that it afected my game in any big way.

Nice to see EA is upholding their reputation in quality. :)

I'm sure you guys already know this but the consignment store does close at 5:30 PM I believe, after that point you won't be able to click on the register. Sometimes it won't work for me in the morning or middle of the day, but the next day it will.

In regards to the game not loading - it's weird, but sometimes my game will do this as well. I'll open up the launcher and press play, and it will crash, sometimes three or four times in a row. But eventually it will work and everything will go smoothly - not sure why this is. I was not about to uninstall and reinstall so I just kept trying and like I said eventually it loaded with no problems.

You have to click on the register....not any single items in the store....

You have to click on the register and select "buy". (Because they wouldn't want it to be too intuitive.) Then you get an interface like all the other stores with a "buy" tab and a "sell" tab. While you're there, check out what's for sale. If you can sell it, you can potentially buy it there also.

This is what has worked for me in the past. I just kept a copy of my consignment store in my library and when the problem occurred, I deleted the old one and added it again. Problem solved and have had no issues since then.
