Black sims of doom

So, I'm not sure what I did to my game, or if I even did anything to it but I'm at a loss and getting very frustrated. Anyway, I noticed an issue with my game starting early last week probably, the neighborhood I had been playing for ages all of a sudden wouldn't load all the way. It would get to the neighborhood and I could see everything, move around, etc. but nothing in the side bar or menu would show up, so I would have to Ctrl+Alt+Delete out of the game. No biggie, I just used a different neighborhood, which seemed to work fine until I went to move my favorite guy into a house. I moved him in, everything was fine until I made him the active household and I entered his home. Cue the dramatic music and the black Sim of dooooooooom. He, along with a majority of my other Sims, are black and I have no idea why. I have downloaded LadyFrontbum's Silk and Velvet non-default skin tones, which is the skin tone he had before, but they don't show up in CAS. And, unfortunately I can't have Rez Delnava's mod in game because my game version (4.3) isn't supported yet. So, I don't know what's wrong and I don't know if I did something to mess it up but I'm getting so frustrated and it sucks :(

PS - I have tried completely uninstalling the game and reinstalling. Same issue.

If after a clean, uninstalling and reinstalling, loading a new game is fine but loading a save game results in the same issue - more proof it is CC conflicting with the patch levels you're at.

The black Sim is the result of removing that CAS mod for NDSTs improperly. The modder has specific instructions on how to remove it safely; did you follow that guide and still end up with black Sims?

The main causes for lagging in-game is incompatible CC after patching. Have you verified all your mods are compatible with the patch versions you have - whether they need to be updated or discarded? The cause may not even be a mod/hack but an innocent object-type in Buy mode.

If you have tested all CC and rule out CC-conflicts, then it may be something in the town - like Sims being stuck or stereos, etc.
Or it may simply means that save has become corrupted. Are there .bad files in Saves folder? Have you tried loading a restored backup save, with the CAS NDST mod still intact and removing it the proper way first?

ellacharm3d, thank you so much for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it. I'm guessing something happened with my NDSTs because I know I didn't ever remove any but a lot of other CC isn't working in game, so I'm betting it's a conflicting mod or conflicting CC, so I've decided to completely uninstall again and reinstall fresh and clean, new saves and all. I'm getting World Adventures so I'll slowly start adding CC in again, testing it as I go. Lesson learned, lol. Thank you again (:

For what it's worth, I have run the game with all EP's and SP's patched to the latest and have used default and non default skintones without issue as well as Rez Delnava's mod even though it is listed as only working with 4.2. I have Ambitions at 4.3 as well as having Fast Lane at 5.0. You clearly have another issue somewhere, probably a conflict of some kind. Have you attempted of resolve conflicts with Delphy's Dashboard Tool (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=387006)?
