EVE Online Incursion Character Creator is amazing!

Hello everyone

I never played EVE Online, because it was way too complicated for my taste to get into, but recently i came across the newest update for this game, which added an amazing character editor. I love detailed character customisation in games, that's why i am still creating sims and it seems to be a trend in new MMOs, which is a very good thing.

It also has a very nice portrait photo tool, where you can alter the facial expressions of the character and turn their body and head to get them into your desired pose, pretty amazing!

I don't know if this is of any interest here, but i would love to see what you can do with this editor and it's pretty simple to get started..

What do you think of this character creator? Imo things are getting better and better and when i think of Sims 4, pheew ^^

Unfortunately I don't see EA doing anything even remotely this good for TS4. They could have done it for TS3... All Points Bulletin came out before TS3 - and was an EA game - and had GREAT character creation including insane levels of customization that TS3 didn't even remotely have.

The characters you made look -great- in any case - does EVE even have a thing where you can really use your characters in-game though? I thought you were basically in a spaceship the whole time.

Yes APB is the game which has the most detailed customisation so far and i think it left a mark in the gamingindustry. It also comes back soon as F2P game, finally!

So far EVE is only with spaceships and the new character creator only results in one portrait picture other people can see, what i've found out so far. They added the EVE customisationtool as "preperation" for the "Walking in stations" update which will be released sometime in summer and basically to play around with it, to see the potential.
It adds a social component to the game, where you can walk around on stations and maybe on your own spaceship as your avatar. It's an important step, as identification/having a character exactly like you imagine it, is a very important component in MMOs, at least for me and i'm sure for many other people too.

Imo the "problem" with Sims 3 is, that EA decided to use the cartoony artstyle, to fit the younger audience and to make it look funny. The stuff in Sims 3 just feel like it's made for teens and it just doesn't feel professional.
I also doubt that they will change the artstyle of the game to replace it with a more realistic feel, for the majority of the Sims players the cartoon look is what Sims is all about and it would be a major shift, if they would change that.

And yeah Sims 4 is far far away i guess, first they need to dish out their roughly 30 addons for Sims 3 and then the Medieval Game + 30 addons..

I am considering the 14-day-trial JUST for this character editor.. it looks AMAZING!

ETA: I caved in, I'm doing a Re-install on this PC soon anyway, since it's ridden with Viruses, might as well give it a try!
