i've been building my own world for the past few days and i was wondering if you have to add in the metal/seed spawners to every lot when you create the world or will it automatically do it for you in the game? thanks in advance :) !

You have to add em in. No auto-spawn :)

if you add them to a lot you have to use buydebug, but IDK how to do it from CAW

It does help with fish spawns if you use the salt or fresh water designator, because the whole body of water will make spawns if you have a large fresh water body or a ocean front.
They are in [TestingCheatsEnabled true] then enter then [Buydebug], there will be a questionmark in the item sort that will have the various spawns. You have to press ctl-shift-c at the same time to have the command line interface come up. Drop the brackets for the commands.
I type [help] to see the other commands available sometimes, but usually there are helpful pages in the WiKi part that are very easy to follow. :turtle:

Funny you mention that. I'm also trying to create a world. Using EIG mode, I was trying to build a park. I had buydebug on before I did this, but I used the water tool. As soon as I used it, I noticed that two fishing spawners showed up without my adding them. Although the spawners were still on land so I had to move them. It was strange. That never happened to me before.
So either that was just a fluke, or something changed since OLS and the associated update.
To the OP: You should still assume you need to add fishing spawners, particularly if you want a specific type of fish to be available.
