I got this idea from one of the forums, it's similar to the homless challenge, the tribal challenge, and the legacy challenge.
SUMMARY
5 sims were stranded on an Island, (Instructions on how that will be done included), they don't know eachother, and have to rely on eachother to survive for 4 generations.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Create 5 YA's 2 of each gender, you pick the 5th, and 1 teen.
2. They can be dressed however they want, but remember, you wont be able to change their look for a while, so making them look like they're 'stranded on an island' might be a good idea.
Teen 1 - Clumbsy, and Friendly.
Girl 1 - Light Sleeper, and Angler.
Girl 2 - Over-Emotional, and Genius.
Guy 1 - Hot-Headed, and Athletic.
Guy 2 - Coward, and Green Thumb.
Your Choice - Snob, and Good Sense of Humor.
(You choose the last three traits, LTW un-restricted, but remember, they can't leave the island)
3. Move them into a 60x60 lot, or (for riverview) 64x64.
Sunset Valley - 15 Summer Hill Court (on hill where Alto's and Landgraabs live)

CREATING THE ISLAND
(Use the remaining money on the lot, and if you need more just use cheats. **BUT ITS THE ONLY TIME YOU CAN USE CHEATS, OTHER THAN BUILDING CHEATS, UNLESS INSTRUCTED.
Move all sims to center of lot.
Use the testingcheatsenabled true cheat to delete the mailbox and trashcan.
Using terrain paints/coloring, change the grass to sand.
Use the water tool around the perimeter of the island. About 10 squares thick.
Add lots of tropical looking trees, shurbs, and flowers.
Using BuyDeBug place 3 tomato plants.
In the center of the island, make sure there are no trees. This will be camp center.
Add the fire thing with the chairs around it in the center.
Now is the hard part. Now you have to make individual sleeping quarters. You will need to create 6 of these.

1. Add 2 posts about three squares away.
2. Add a roof.
3. Add a cheap bed and 1 skill building object.
Now make your funds 0.
RULES
No cheats.
No Mods.
No leaving the lot.
No electronics.
No moving out of the lot.
Children cannot go to school, only tutored by sims with logic skill.
NO IMBREEDING (as if the game would allow it, remember you only have 6 sims to create a 4 gen. legacy with, be careful)
The game ends if their is no way to create an heir. (no more men, everyone is related, etc.)

POINTS
+10: Every sim born.
+10: Every sim still alive at end of 4 gen.
-25: Every sim died an un-natural death. (starvation, etc.)
+50: Every LTW achieved
+5: Every Building Built.

I love to see pics and storys!

I'll try this out tonight and see how it works out. With picture, of course.

I'm pretty sure this can't be done with just five sims. The Tribal challenge called for five couples, and it wasn't really do-able without adding a couple of extra families/sims to breed with later. With just five sims - even if they round robin couple, it's just going to get messy and inbred far too quickly.

I think I'd like to grab one of the small island maps for this instead of having just the one lot as an island. Then I can move people to different lots once we get past the first generation or so.

I do like the idea though. I could pretend a commercial airliner crashed, and include a random mix of other people along with the five main characters like they just happened to all be on the same plane. I'll have to draw some geneology lines on a bit of scratch paper to see about how many people of each gender I'll need to feasibly make it as many generations as is required.

I think if I put in an extra two people of opposite gender, a random elder or two and a toddler - it should work. And if I can get past the wall of relations, then I can start dividing them up into clans by the fifth or sixth generations, continuing the story into Tribal. But I'll definitely have to put them on an island World, or there'd be waaaay too many people on my lot, lol.

skmt999, I was thinking along the same lines as you, I've actually just knocked together a small island for myself, nothing extravagant, fairly simple and fits one 60x60 lot. There's a tiny bit of room for maybe a 10x10 or 15x20 which I might make into the graveyard if my sims get that far....but I have been wondering if it might be easier to just have 2-4 smaller lots/households instead.

I just grabbed Isolation Island from the official Sims CAW forum, off the list of available worlds it fit the bill the best. I'm very happy with that world as my starting crash site. There's a big lot at one end I'm going to use to start things up with.

I didn't see any pictures, so I had to go on the description and installed it hoping it was what I wanted. It's perfect, no roads, no buildings at all... But quite a few lots around the edges of the island and a couple of community type garden lots.

I started creating my Household of Castaways, and it's funny how the random dice creation throws together people sometimes. I'm tempted to leave this guy as he is - even though he'll be MISERABLE on an island like this, lol. Couch potato, hates the outdoors, hydrophobic, mean spirited AND overemotional. I mean, wow!

Maybe he'll be my 'extra' guy, since I needed a couple anyway.

I think there's already quite alot island challenges but I've never seen an idea like yours where you have to stay on the same lot. Might try it.

It is possible, but only if your sims only have 1 kid each. You can do it without imbred sims. :)

Yeah, i made it that way so it would be even more realistic, and so that you would have to think about the best to ensure no imbreeding.
