View Full Version : Old school Maxis evening gown mesh help...

I searched the beginning and the end and touched on a few topics in the middle and didn't see this discussed (used the search function too)... That evening gown for female adults and elders that has the dangling thing on the back - how do you recolor that? The alpha appears to be screwed up. Recoloring the strip located in the middle of the front and back skirts does nothing - the hanging thing always ends up the same color as the main outfit. Anyone figure out after all these years how to properly recolor it? I'm making some clothing for the neglected, seriously-lacking elder ladies and I'm tring to use maxis meshes whenever possible.
Thanks for any help that can be provided!

The danglin thing is located on a diffrent spot on the uvmap(texture map)
I dont have sims 2 installed but maybe some one else can provide you a uvmap of the outfit so you can start recoloring :)

Thanks for the advice, BloomsBase. I did check out the UV Maps that someone had created for the adult (not elder) version of the dress, and according to that the dangling piece should be where it's supposed to be - in the middle between the two halves of the skirt... But I notice that the elder clothes are mapped very poorly because textures get highly distorted especially in the upper chest and mid to lower back. So it's possible the UV Maps are not the same althrough on the surface the dress and the textures are.
