1.Does anybody have a useful Sims 2 movie making tutorial? (i have searched on Google but none of them have pictures showing step by step what to do) (i am a visual learner)

2.How can i film on high settings if my computer is about....7 years old. (my dad refuses to get me a newer computer) Also what exactly do i post to show you my computer specs? I already did dxdiag and saved the info but i dunno what info to put on this thread.

3.What are some useful/good pose boxes, animations, hacks, custom content? (i do have custom content already just wondering if there is anything else out there that i have never had before)

4.How can i make my sims 2 movie look as good as this?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY_VAqFaqZM

5. How can i make my own stuff? If there is a thread or video,i would be grateful if you sent me it.

6. What is a good FREE video editing program? A full version.

Will post more as i remember the rest of my questions :king:

Thanks in advance! :)

1. I dont know of any tutorials that visually show you how to make movies. Your only option is to read through tutorials, I know its a pain but you've gotta start somewhere. Try here (http://povmachinima.com/?page_id=966).

2. Well, with your specs you'll struggle to record on high settings. You could try it but your computer will likely lag like hell. I used to have a laptop around the same specs as your computer and movie making on it wasnt great. So you can either lower the quality of the recordings (which isnt nice for viewers) or bare the lag-fest.

3. There is a huge list of poseboxes/animations etc here (http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=1082.0).

4. A lot of time and effort has clearly been put into that movie you linked to. Most directors edit their camera file settings and play around with post-production. Its likely they also use top video editing software like Sony Vegas etc.

5. You can find plenty of tutorials on MTS (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=MTS2:Sims_2_Create) and youtube (e.g. just search up on Youtube 'how to create sims 2 clothes) showing you how to create almost anything. Practice makes perfect though.

6. I use Sony Vegas so I haven't had to look for free alternatives. I found Windows Movie Maker adequate to start with especially if your a beginner. Have a look at this website (http://alternativeto.net/software/sony-vegas-pro/?license=free) for some free software.

Thanks for the info Cruzy :)

Another question (sorry for all the questions :faceslap: ) every time i open bodyshop it takes a while to load then says this application has crashed, press ok to terminate or something similar. I can't seem to find a answer to the problem from searching on google and here. These are all the sims 2 games i have: sims 2,seasons,pets,university,open for buisness, nightlife. I heard about a problem with uni and pets with messing up the bodyshop but not sure.I open bodyshop from the latest expansion i have.

Hmm I used to get that problem too. I think I just uninstalled all the games and did a fresh install. This (http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Body_Shop#Body_Shop_won.27t_run.2C_or_crashes_when_loading) page might help you. If I see anything else I'll post it here!

If you have any custom content temporarily move it out of your EA GAMES folder and then run bodyshop to see if cc is the problem.

If you have low computer memory make sure bodyshop is the only program open. You can also delete your cache files, look here (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Delete_Cache_Files).

The only thing I can suggest for the making your movie as goos as Venin Abyss is a good movie editing software. Something as professional looking as that would require something that you would probably have to buy and pay quite a bit of money for
