I'm thinking about taking some of my earlier works into the sims 3, like that servo, or mr. skeleo. but i've ran into a crossroad.
i can't mesh for anything.
:help:
Can someone give me a step-by-step tutorial to do this? i'm willing to try milkshape, but
i already have blender installed, and i'm used to that. don't get me wrong, my 3d models suck, (most of my stuff is maxis' recolours) but if i have gimp, a uv map template, and some time, i am beast with uv maps. can someone teach me to easily convert?

How about this one? You will have to translate some steps for use in Blender.

ps: is there a grey image (Ilike when ur making clothes from the sims 3) that doesn't have the contents of our underwear in it? i don't wanna make stuff for the sims 3, and have my mom see genitals

Unless you're converting something that actually has specific genitals added, you're not going to be seeing any genitals in either TS2 or TS3.
Converting sim meshes from one game to another is a giant pain in the ass - I don't think there's a fully working Blender plugin for it. Milkshape is really your best bet and you'll find a lot more support for it. It's going to mean redoing ALL the bone assignments for the entire body.
BTW, there's already a Mr. Skeleto for TS3.

I really need that vacation.
Sorry, I gave you the wrong link.
Here is a tutorial to convert a clothing mesh from TS2 to TS3.

You do not have to redo all bone- assignments, but making the 3 Lods and the new textures will take quite some time.
For making the lods check out Bloomsbase other tutorials and posts.
