my sim just aged from teen to ya, but it says that she's been a YA for 10 days and she didn't get to go to graduation and she's now 10 days older than her fiancee, who should be the same age and they should've gone to graduation together.
is there any way to fix this?

I'm not sure you can fix it so she goes to graduation, but you can do something about her age.

Without cheats: Cook Ambrosia (if you don't have the skills & ingredients for this on any of your sims this is a lengthy process that is probably not worth it).
Use the Young Again potion from Chemistry set (requires high logic and that you have discovered the potion. Also costs 5000§ if you have to make one after discovering it. the first is free)

With cheats: Cheat to give yourself 70,000 lifetime happiness to purchase the Young Again potion

With mods: Use Nraas Mastercoller to set the age of your sim, or use Awesomemod to reset the current age stage.

The disadvantage of the Ambrosia method is that it will reset the Sim's age to a negative value and so the Sim will then be younger than her fiancée. On epic lifespan a sim will be reset to 275 instead of 225 until age-up, so 50 days gained!

This happened to me.. I think its a bug with the new age span sliders. While I was messing with them, a few of my sims would suddenly age warp & the game would tell me they have a birthday soon.

I agree with nonamena, you should use Master Controller. Thats what I did. It lets you set how many days the sim has left before they age up. Just set it to around where you think they were before and all will be the same.

i think i might use cheats. i was really hoping not to use mods because i've heard too many bad things about mods, like conflicts and such. i just don't understand how to use the cheats to add on the lifetime happiness points and such. if someone could explain it to me?

This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJ29-CwPHys) will show you exactly what you need to do to cheat to get your lifetime happiness. Just a reminder: make sure you enter testingcheatsenabled true on the main menu, before you load your game.

That said, if you want to hear about all the good things mods can offer you (such as fixing game breaking bugs and keeping your neighborhood clean) just send me a PM. You might as well hear both sides of the story, but I don't want to sound all preachy.

By the way guys, that did work. I got her the potion and the very next morning she went to graduation. Just thought I'd give you a little update if any of you are having the same issue. I haven't used mods or anything to test it so I'm not sure, but the potion does in fact make it to where they can graduate.
