Granted, it's Christmas! But no one had time to prepare so you wake up excited to December 25th...and nothing more. The decorations are still in the attic, you need to get to the store to buy ingredients for cookies and dinner. Carolers come buy, but they haven't rehearsed so they sound like a pool of drowning cats. They hiss at you when you offer them tea because you haven't gotten the hot chocolate ready yet. There is no tree. You do what I do and decorate a chair with plastic garland instead. The cat sits under it. You sit down around the chair after your meal of peanut butter and jelly and pretend pass each other gifts. (Thanks for the thought, Aunt Jean! I always wanted a pink mohair hat and now, I still want one!) Actually, all in all, a great day!

You never change your clothes - no time for that or for laundry if you could pry yourself away from the fridge! You can't answer the phone and you don't want to go to the store, but you eventually run out of food and run to the store (very quickly because you are soooo hungry!). You get to the store and start eating. No time to pay! They arrest you with your hands full of crackers and grapes. It's a pretty picture for the paper.
