Hi All, I really hope you can help as I am at my wits end. Have started replaying sims 3 this last few weeks as has my partner and one of our kids. The problem I am having is that Sims keeps crashing (no error code), Error code 12, and or error code 13 (i think) and 16. I play for about 1 Sim day and one of the above happens.

2. Cleaned up my pc with a third party, so my registry and every other place was cleaned out.
3. Cleared out the cache files in sims.
4. uninstalled and re installed game as well as deleting all save games.
5. Made sure all drivers where up to date.
6. removed custom content.
7.removed the user files.
8. scoured the net looking for answers:
9. Added sims to the dep file
10. turned off virus protector
11. changed to compatibility mode.
12. changed to run as administrator.
13 added error watch
14. added overwatch.
15. defrag
16. put on no memories mod
I think thats it, I must say that my partner has the same pc and he has no problems
I hope you can help

Just checking - you're not running Win7 on Mac hardware, or something? Don't want to move this thread into the main forum prematurely and then find that it really was meant to be in Mac support. :)
You say the same PC - do you mean you both use this computer and only you get crashes? Or that you have two computers of the same make and model?
Did you try DEP *and* clean user files at the same time? What about the other things on your list? A few of them are mutually exclusive, so just trying to get a clearer idea of exactly what you've done.

No its not a Mac. My partner and child have the same computer make and model actually he just informed that his is a little older but not by much.
I did all the changes one at a time after each change i tried to play and see what happened, It broke of course, I took each change off when it didn't work and as a last resort put all changes back on to no avail. I also would add remove changes to see if they made a difference, currently I have all changes in place but still no difference not worse nor better. I have been working on this for about a week so I am having a little trouble trying to figure out if I missed something, I also tried combinations of things to see if somthing was conflicting with the other.
Ps: I think I have listed everything in order that i did it or as close as. :)

General - Post System Specs
We need more information before we can help with your issue.
Please post a Quick summary of your System Specs
Instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specs.
Please Do NOT post your complete DxDiag report in your thread.
You guys are playing on different machines on different Saves, though, right? Are you playing with the same identical set of CC and on the same world, too?
Are you starting the game via the file you added to the DEP exception list or still via Launcher?
Do you mean you have work through this Game_Help:Sims 3 Crashing Checklist?
Can we see the rest of the specs?
And thread moved to PC section. :)

Yes we are playing on different machines and different saves. We have played the same worlds and using the same cc, I have changed to different world several times to try and make mine work.
I have worked through Game Help:Sims 3 Crashing Checklist wiki a few times now as well as trying to find other sources to fix my problem.
I start the game via the file in DEP but over the last week tried the launcher but it did not fix the problem so I use the file in the DEP. :)

You've got a GeForce GT 520. If you take a look at the Sytem Requirements (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_System_Requirements), you'll see your card is listed as a "no" for the sims 3.

Just for some interesting information we haven't changed the graphics card however i turned the settings down to medium and have been playing for about an hour with no crashes or problems. (yay) so now I hope I haven't Jinxed myself :)

The combination of an i3 and the 520 is not good. Sure, you can play now, albeit with some crash and loading lag, but you won't get long-term performance as on a better-spec'd machine.
And add the less than 4GB, things can go wonky pretty fast.
The machine has Windows 7 32bit?
There's 8GB installed but the system only reads the 3.5GB it's able to recognize. Hope you were aware of this.Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB
Total Physical Memory 3.49 GB
Providing a complete report is critical and appreciated, but I wish you'd just followed instructions in posting the summary, since I never asked for a full report. Now every time I need to reload this thread, I have to redownload stuff. Which either means,
- I won't load this thread, or
- I would load but won't answer as I don't have full info, or
- load it but keep it to when I have time to download and read a long report, that I may forget I have the tab opened.
Which essentially, (the last one) is what happened - thus the delay in my response. :)
