In need of help! Lana Del Rey Sim

I'm not the best at making sims, but I haven't been able to find a Lana Del Rey sim ANYWHERE so I figured I had no choice but to make one. Anyway, the profile looks alright to me, but the front view doesn't look like her at ALL. I'd like some tips/advice on how to improve it.

I know it looks wrong...but I don't know EXACTLY what, so I don't know what to change to make it better. :\

It looks like the tip of her nose is slightly too wide and also could be moved in a little. Also he headshape is a little too wide. Try using the forehead adjusters ?

Please give us some in-game pics, BodyShop isn´t that good. They are often too dark and you can´t zoom in the way you can do in TS2.
Her nose has a lot of these corners, it looks quite angular. Try to make it look more smooth. Than, try to use a lipstick which gives her a pout. I think it is typical for her. First off, I think you've done a very, very great job so far. It does have a great resemblance to Lana Del Rey. I love her eyes and her brows, I think you made those perfect. The only details I noticed would be lips and the jaw. As Gincgo said, your sim is missing the pout and her lips could be a bit broader. Also her lower jaw is slightly more edged than the original one, I guess. But those are just very smalls things. I'm looking forward to ingame pics :)

First off I'd like to thank you all for your feedback, you've all been a great help! I've made some pretty big changes to the original, first and most obvious would probably be the skin, I chose a darker skin because the original skin just seemed too pale.

oreosncreamforjojo - I definitely understand what you mean, I've fixed it as best I can. :)

Gincgo - I see what you're saying about the angular corners. I tried to fix it with a nose-mask, but I just couldn't find one that did what I wanted it to do, so I did my best. :\

Sirrah - Thank you very much! I've angled her jaw a little more and I definitely think it was for the better. :)

As with last time, I'm certainly happier with her profile. I don't know. Maybe I'm being too hard on myself? It just doesn't look right to me... It almost looks more like Angelina Jolie than Lana Del Rey. Hahahaha.

Can you provide us some in-game shots? You will definately see that the chin etc will change a lot when you put her in game! She's looking very good so far, but I would like those pictures before looking into details, as you most likely will have to change certain features then :)

Yeah, I know someone else had already asked for them....I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Hahahaha. I'm gonna play it tonight so I'll definitely get those shots, hopefully before the end of the night. :beer:

Well, I can´t recognize her as Lana Del Rey yet. Her face looks quite small regarding to her whole head and I think your textures need a bit more work (or is the quality or you pics not that good?). Her upper lip looks a bit odd, it overhangs to much in my opinion. It also looks if the upper lip has no shape, unfortunately I don´t know the correct anatomical phrase. You should make her nose bridge a bit smaller as well, it seems to be wider than the whole lower part of her nose. And please add some comparison pictures to your next post. :)

I suggest you try with another hair mesh, this hair mesh could be what gives her forehead a strange shape. Also, I would try with another, more red hair color. Lana Del Rey's hair appears very red to me although your sim seems to have it light brown - if this is red hair, you need a richer red, with more saturation in the color. Also, her eyes might need to be a tid bit bigger. And I would try with different skin tones, less tanned, less grey, more pink. This might be a question of having your pictures taken in BodyShop though.

Other than that, she's really nice and well done!! Congratulations! :)

For a start I really hate the hair the you've got on her at the moment, it looks rather grey and makes the back of her head look huge. In the comparison image her chin looks rounder and less of a square shape than your sim has, it needs to have a smoother shape to it. Move the outer corners of her eyes up. Pull the chin out from the face some more. Brows should be a little bit longer, although you're using a photoskin so you may have to do a bit of tinkering around in photoshop to extend the brows. Cheek bones are sticking out a little bit too much. The contacts that you're using seem a bit deaad to me try ones with a bit more of a glint in the eyes, they also seem a bit too green for Lana. That skin seems far too dull and grey, it should be a bit more pinky then dull. Maybe you could have a go at her without the photoskin? A more simmy version of her, I don't know why I just can't stand photoskins they creep me out it's good when sims look like sims. Instead of the dress may I stuggest that you try and find a baseball jacket, as she wear these very often.

Okay, I have 0 knowledge of photoshop or anything like that, so I won't be able to do any of that. I could change the hair, it's just that it's so hard for me to find a hair that really says "Lana."

As far as the dress, that is actually a replica of a dress that Lana has actually worn before.

You don't have to use photoshop to edit her skin you can use most image manipulation programs to do so, I'm guessing that you've made the facial textures on the skin? If you haven't and then you'll have to find out whether ot not the creator will allow you to use them. Why don't you try this (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=453044) hair for Lana, it kind of reminds me of her hair in the Blue Jeans video (Your second comparison image). I'm still wondering what she'd look like without a photoskin, why not give it a try you may find that she looks better. Am I right in thinking that the dress is a replica from her SNL performace?

Nice job. Her eyebrows need a bit more arch. She looks alot like Hermoine from Harry Potter. After youve uploaded this one, you may want to change her around and make that sim as well
