These are the games I have:

Sims 2 Double Deluxe
Sims 2 University Life
Sims 2 Best of Business
Sims 2 Fun with Pets
Sims 2 Seasons
Sims 2 Bon Voyage
Sims 2 FreeTime
Sims 2 Aparment Life

Should I install them in that order, or in order of release date?
It's also decently important that my play disk is NOT Fun with Pets. That's the play disc for my cousin and I want both of us to be able to play.
I have University Life as the play disc on my desktop, but I don't remember how I managed that. Was it just the install order?

Install order doesn't matter. I usually install in release order out of habit, but it's not essential at all. Ya just need to get the base game in there first (with Double Deluxe) and then the rest can be whatever. The play disk with that set of EPs will be Apartment Life, regardless of install order.

EDIT: Listen to Mootilda, she knows better than me, but in any case, the install order still doesn't matter. :)

Fun with Pets contains the updated Store Edition. If you install the Store Edition, you will need to use the Fun with Pets disk. In addition, the Store Edition works best if installed last (ie, install Fun with Pets at the end).

We are not going to help you to pirate the game. If you want to play the game, then you should buy all of the EPs and SPs that you want to play.

Weird - when I play the game on my desktop (which has all of the above installed) it ALWAYS asks for the University Life disc. And my cousin's laptop always asks for the Fun with Pets disc.

Another question - I noticed in the Help section that it mentions that TS2 Double Deluxe is already patched. Do you think this applies to University Life, Best of Business, and Fun with Pets as well? Will it harm the game if I install patches anyway?

You probably had the updated Store Edition from the Sims Store. Now that the Sims Store is closed, you may not be able download the updated Store Edition by itself anymore. However, the updated Store Edition is included with the Fun with Pets collection pack.

Again, please do not pirate the game. Buy your own copy.

I own all of the games that I listed o_o;
So a question, then: since I have all of those games on my desktop, why does it ask for University Life instead of Fun with Pets? Would unchecking "Install Store Edition" during install of FwP cause this?

Sorry if I'm asking too many questions, I just want my game to go well :)

That's the play disc for my cousin and I want both of us to be able to play.If you are sharing disks with another person, then you are pirating the game. I'm not going to help you to pirate the game. Buy your own Fun with Pets DVD, install it last, and everything will work just fine.

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info!
