I have recently reinstall Sims 3 and have been patching it up. Currently, I'm trying to patch it to 1.22, but every time I try to install it I get this error message:
"The Sims 3 update cannot continue because programs associated with The Sims 3 are currently running. Please stop these applications before attempting to update The Sims 3."
The problem is that I don't have any Sims 3 programs running! I don't have the Launcher up (I can't even get it to come up because a message box keeps coming up saying it stopped working). I don't even have the disk in the drive. I closed out of everything before installing yet still get the error.
