I cannot for the love of the Watcher find and figure out how to exchange default Sim skins and eyes and it is driving me to the point of violence! I am stuck with those six fugly regular skin types and all I can use are contacts. I can deal with the contacts but NOT the skins and I think I did the Eskins wrong because the non-default skins just took over two of my circle things. Does anyone know where I can find an in depth idiot friendly guide for CC content and slider installation and usage? I will be your best friend for ever and ever...

If you have installed non-default skins, they don't take over your circles exactly - you just have to scroll through the skins. Place your cursor over the box of the six skintone circles and use your mouse's scroll wheel to scroll through them. If you have a laptop, the far right side of your touchpad will usually perform a scroll if you drag your finger up and down.

Default skins will override the original six skintone spots, but that's, well, entirely the point. :)

Sliders are fairly simple - you may need a mod to expand the number of sliders allowed to you. IIRC, Twallan's Master Controller (google "Nraas Master Controller") and Awesomemod are the most common mods to do this.

Okay but how do you replace default skin and eyes? And can you have more than just the six skin tones available? Or am I just stuck with those six circles and have to have them replaced by non default? I can find a picture to illustrate what I want to happen if that helps explanations at all....

This is basically what I want:

but without the sliders bit on the side of course

You replace the EA skins and eyes by downloading any skintone or eye described as a default replacement. You can only have one set of default replacement skins for each age and gender, and only one default replacement eye, at a time.

To get more dots, just download skintones described as non-default. You can have as many non-default skins as you like, and each one will add a dot.

And if you think of something to add to your post after you've posted, please use the Edit button, instead of posting several times in a row. :)

Thanks for all the help! But now I have a question about certain mods like the Same Zodiac sign for twins and triplets. Do I put those in overrides or in the packages folder?

Packages - you'll always use packages for package files unless the creator specifically says to do otherwise.

This included Master Controller and Awesome mod as well correct? Because I finally got MC but didn't know if I should put it in .package or overrides

Yes, even those. Unless the creator specifically says "put this in Overrides," it goes in Packages.

The Overrides folder is not for things that override how the game works, but for a mod that overrides how another mod works.

thank you. I realize my question might be stupid but I'm not that literate to it but I wish to learn and you people are the best teachers.
