Due to repeated posts in the Comments section (no on reads I guess)..
IF YOUR PAINTINGS SELL FOR $0 go read my comments in the Comments section. :p

Archive contains 4 routines (*.package files).
Readme follows (also included in the archive)...

(sorry, code tags make this look horrible, so I'm removing them. No doubt just tossing this in as regular text it'll be justified horribly as well -- ah the joys of html never cease)

Quicker Painting tweaks the time it takes to paint pictures.

"Time" is approximate, as various events slightly alter the actual time spent painting -- such as the "perfectionist" trait causes the sim to take a tad more time, while skill bonuses (in the Painting tree) will lessen the time (just two examples, there's other events that affect painting time).

Painting time adjustments are for Small, Medium, and Large paintings. The modifier when doing portraits remains at the default value (1.5 * time_to_paint_given_size, I believe portraits are always Medium size, but not positive)

Small Med Lg
default ~3hrs ~5hrs ~8hrs
QuickerPainting ~2.25hrs ~4hrs ~7hrs
...EvenFaster ~1hr ~2hrs ~3.5hrs
...ExtremelyFast ~30min ~1hr ~1.75hrs
...Instant ~10-20min for all (read below)

Just rough estimate on painting portraits, assuming they're always Medium sized:
(default, Quicker, Faster, Extreme, Instant)
~7.5hrs ~6hrs ~3hrs ~1.5hrs ~10-20min

Issues/Bugs:
The "Instant" routine seems to still take some (small amount of) time, approximately 10-20 game-minutes in my testing, regardless of picture size. I have it set to "2" minutes (seeing there's a "1" minute value for just starting/displaying the picture). However it doesn't appear to actually follow the time, perhaps due to animations or other issues I'm unaware of. I'm too lazy to try to improve it, as I don't personally care to use instant-gratification tweaks. Even so, 10-20 minutes is pretty fast. :p

Pre-existing unfinished paintings may slightly bug out. While testing, I had a pre-existing Portrait (as in existed prior to installing the *.package file). The sim painting it would regularly stop painting after a couple minutes. So, just scrap pre-existing paintings if this issue arises and start up a new painting.

Enjoy!
