For those of you who watched MTV's Video Music Awards on September 12th, what did you think? What was your favorite performance? Do you think everyone deserved the awards they got? Who looked the best?

I think that it was a bit stupid this year... mostly because Rihanna didn't got any nominations, and they haven't put Adam Lambert to perform...
First, Rihanna is a big star right now, and she was popular before Gaga. If you look closer, you will see that Rihanna just sang once 'Love the Way You Lie' part, and she was standing there bored watching Eminem... but what about 'Te Amo', 'Rude Boy', 'Russian Roulette', 'Photographs', 'Hard'..... they put Robyn (who isn't really a celebrity) to perform 'Dancing On My Own' (it is good song), but they didn't give chance to Riri... I was really hoping for her to get at least one nomination... :(
And Adam, my favorite male singer, he is one of the rare 'new' artists who created three videos in a less than a year... 'Whatya Want From Me' was such a big hit, even now it's on VH1... and what about 'If I Had You'? It's second on the top 20 list on MTV, and yet, they weren't even interviwing him...
And I think that the whole thing is a bit strange... 'Bad Romance' was in almost every nomination, and it always won awards... So I was very, very disapointed, and also the whole show was based on 'Gaga' style, it looked like she payed VMA...
But the biggest disappointment was for Rihanna and Adam... well they are my favorite, so what I else I can say... :(

Lady Gaga was ever so slightly mental that night, I'm suprised she wasn't pounced on by hungry dogs xD

such shows are weird, you just need to figure out which nominee is the most popular/talked about/backed up by huge corporation/have a cult following
it's pretty much popularity contest & power play, being great at something seldom gave them rewards

Another thing: Where was One Republic ? ? ? ? ?
'All The Right Moves', 'Stop and Stare', 'Secrets' and 'Marchin On' are such big hits... and yet, I didn't even saw Ryan Tedder... :( It was really, really weird, it looks like this year VMA was made for Gaga only...
