Story Progression toggled off, but STILL going anyway

I have made a family dynasty in my town, with multiple families all interrelated to each other. Therefore I do not want Story Progression to interfere with my months of hard work. Before I installed Generations, I never had problems with Story Progression. Now, after installing it (having no mods), and having turned off Story Progression, it still happens anyway. Sims are dying, moving away and growing up. It's messing with my town and making me very very frustrated. Any advice on how to fix this?

i had the same problem. but only when i had aging on, but no story prog. you might wanna check that. otherwise i dont know...

Yep, I've played them all at least once.

I think I may make a couple of families and experiment with this. I suspect Redbottom is right about the aging setting though
