Just a heads up: apparently the maximums on the age length sliders have been halved with this patch. (No, I don't know why.) You can still put in higher values by manually editing options.ini, though. Some discussion here http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/165/444912.page and elsewhere.

Haven't we all learned by now that you don't want to install the latest expansion pack until they fix the bugs in an update patch 30 days later?

FOrget next month, EA should release a patch for the patch like tomorrow at the latest.

That is highly unlikely. As usual the modding community may have a solution first. SMH.

MTS creators should collaborate and make a completely seperate game, they'd probably do a better job then EA!
have you ever noticed how sometimes someone will come up with something here, and then EA have something similar in the store a little later? the walls have ears... or the forums have eyes i suppose?

This one already has a solution -- editing the .ini file. And it will only be an issue for people who go for long age stages.

That has been EA's TS3 modus operandi: release an expansion and then follow-up with a big bug fix four weeks later.

Well where do you think the idea for the store and the "we don't support CC" policy came from in the first place?

Wait.. er... they're watching this very forum you mean.. er... I meant er... Well I for one welcome our new affluent overlords.. yeah that's what I wanted to say, honest...

Thanks for posting this! I haven't been able to get Pets yet so I haven't updated to the new patch (I am also waiting for all the mods I use be updated. I got spoiled and hate playing without them lol), but when I do this information will come in handy. I play on epic, so if the sliders stay altered I will need to do this! I am terrible with the tech end of things so I never would have known to go and make changes the options.ini files.
