I love World of Warcraft so much! There's so much to do in that game. It's one of the largest MMO's there is.
Who else here likes WoW. Maybe even tell me what toons you have and what you like about the game.

I bought it, played it, got slain dozens of times, and gave up. Guess I'm justa wimp. Hack and slay is not my sort of game. Too destructive, not creative. Sorry.

I love WoW! One of my brothers played it constantly forever but I never really wanted to try it (I preferred GuildWars) but my mom got the starter pack and a 1 month subscription for Christmas so I decided to try it out. I swear nobody could get me off my computer for a month, I would get up extra early just so I could play longer. I haven't tried all the characters but I love the gnomes, they're just so darn cute and they have little squeaky voices. <3 :D I haven't had the funds to restart my subscription so right now I'm playing a free account.

^ I love gnomes as well. I'm not sure why other people hate them so much xD I like creating little gnomes with pigtails. It's fun to kick other people's asses in PvP. The most fun I had in WoW was in battlegrounds. Warsong Gulch & Alterac Valley was my favorite.
Anyway, Guild Wars 2 is coming out, and I'm hoping to get in the beta. I won't be playing WoW anymore.

I got started on WoW through a friend, so we have the bring a friend bonus experience and I've already made it to level 85 in just about 3 weeks of playing in the evenings with him. My main character is a night elf druid, but I've tried out other classes and races, as well. I'm quite fond of druids and rogues as classes go, and Worgens as races go.

I personally never tried WOW . But I always though , if I was gonna throw my money out of the window it would be for WOW .
And from the moaning I heard (not here but outta there ) peoples dislike this game (especially those who played) for 2 reasons :
1- Money...they put so much in it
2- Addiction (I'm told it's very very addictives = Hence why I never played to begin with) .

Depending on your budget and your other hobbies, it might be a little on the expensive side. At my current wages, $15 a month is significant, though I'm also not spending money on anything else extraneous. As to addiction, it really depends on what your favorite type of game is, I suppose. I'm mainly playing it as a way to socialize with friends, and I'm not finding it especially addictive. My level 85 character has basically gone by the wayside for the moment, only to be pulled out for raiding. I am slightly addicted to making new characters, but, ultimately, the story isn't involved enough to really draw me in hard. If you find hack 'n' slash to be addictive, though, you might find it easy to become addicted to it.

yeah I know , but personally I know I will get hooked for 100% :D But the thing that's stopping me...is the system requirements...*sigh* my computer run Sims 2 at Minimum....so I doubt WOW will take that .

Yeah, probably not. I can run Sims 2 with only slight lag at the highest graphical settings, but I can only be lag-free on WoW on the lowest, and sometimes the second-lowest graphical settings. Cities would kill your computer.

Yeah.....but maybe one day I will :) So yeah , even if many WHINE that WOW cost them alot , hooked them alot...I personally always though it looked great and if it has a GOOD story the better . Of course it's a ONLINE Game , so you cannot have EPIC story (or does it?) .
So the real question is , for those who played this game forever.......WHY do you like it ? (and don't give me that I have friends over there lol because even friend don't tie me to a game if it's Boring ) .
Is it well Moderated (since you pay) ? Do you have a LOT of choice of custumization (Do you really?)......What HOOKED you...what make you come back to WOW (beside being able to run it and pay for it XD) .

I have a quite nice computer and I can run WoW and Sims 2 both on full graphics without lag. I also think that If you follow along with the story line on WoW it can be really neat and interesting. I don't really know how I got hooked on it but I did. I at one point did the same thing as kittcat92 where I got up early and couldn't be pulled of the computer. Now I don't play it as much but I still really like it. It has some customization depending on what your customizing. The Blizzard people(makers of the game) have extremely nice customer service people too. They will respond to you within a day of when you contact them by message or email. $15 a month is usually what most monthly fee games cost. I don't know if that a real reasonable price or not. Sometimes I pay that much and only end up playing for a week that month.

I was addicted to World of Warcraft from seventh grade up until last summer. I spent about all my free time on that game, as well as tricking my mom into letting me stay home to run raids with my guild.. Ahem Ahem. I absolutely loved it. When Cataclysm came out, though, I was really excited at first but then got a little irritated. As my free time began to dwindle towards the end of the school year - with exams and all, I fell really far behind on my Gear Score. When summer started and I tried to get my gear back up to date, people would constantly kick me out because I was a "noob", and with the majority of my guild in their 20-30's, they weren't on during the time I was available. Most of my friends had quit when Cataclysm launched because they thought it wasn't as exciting.. I thought totally different but psh.. but I was soon alone and I couldn't make other friends because I realized a lot of the people on my server were .. rude. Now that the new EP is out .. Mist of Pandaria, it just didn't look as exciting as Cataclysm was. Maybe to me Pandas vs. Dragons are a bit fixed .. lol
My Dad had played it when I was little and I would sit on his lap and watch him play. When I got old enough to do things for myself, he let me create a character on his account and I played it like mad.. I only was allowed an hour play time, though. But for my 13th birthday he got me my own subscription, and I was glued to it. I ended up laying off it for a few months, but one day when I got home from the doctors and they told me I had the flu, I got on and played the entire week I was off from school - that's what got me re-hooked. Then it wasn't a matter of if I was on it, it was if I had passed out yet.
I loved the battlegrounds so much, AV Mostly, and though it took me longer to level than my friends, I enjoyed following quest lines until they were through (Even if I was 4 levels above the average level to do the quest).
I really wish I could get back into it, but I just can't. It's been on my computer for a year now, and I still log into the website to see my characters faces. I can't bring myself to uninstall it, but I don't want to pay 15 dollars to try it out again when I'm probably just going to be annoyed or trolled and end up rage quitting. World of Warcraft is an absolute amazing game though.. <3

I used to play on my dad's account all the time and was, admittedly addicted to it. I even got my friend addicted to it. Sadly we lost the game due to lack of money and I never get to play it anymore. Plus my internet wouldn't allow me to play WoW cause it would drain my bandwidth usage. I still go through 'withdrawls' from it sometimes though and end up having WoW stuff invading my desktop, screensavers, and even Sims game.
