since last night I had thougth Modthesims was down..because when I would try to get to it by my usual means.. I would get " web site is currently unavailable" however.. somewhere.. I dont know who.. linked me to something and it was the one link that worked...

the difference... the working link had the word "linna" in the URL... for example
http://www.linna.modthesims.info
versus
http://www.modthesims.info<-- (the way ive always gotten to MTS)

even google links to the site wont work.. anytime someone on Nraas tries to link me to a mod.. it wont work unless I change the URL to include "linna"

noone over there believes me LOL

I'm going off of the normal link, it works fine.

must just be me then. LOL though I looked on bing and I saw yet another link for it.. a nene.modthesims
I dont know what the differnce is. I cant tell by looking at them. HAHA. except for the original one wont load for me. This just has me baffled as to why I cant open the regular one since last night. Now my only thoughts just got shot down :P so much for my " they changed servers" theory

MTS is being purchased by Electronic Arts™. If I recall correctly, Delphy has been hired to improve the The Sims™ 3 website, and MTS will be merging with it later this year. Don't worry, though! You'll still be able to find tons of custom content at http://www.thesims3.com/ after the merger. Some of the best stuff will even be found at The Sims™ 3 Store!

It probably has to do with your internet connection. The main link is the most used one and if there are too many people online you may get a timeout. Linna and nene have been in use for a long time.

No, no, Leaf. Reusing our old April Fools jokes on unsuspecting members :p .

Oh - and as a matter of general interest, in addition to not working for EA, Delphy's a guy. :)

You are probably being blocked by Cloudflare, which is the CDN provider MTS uses. However, any nene or linna URLs don't go via the CDN which is why they work. Would you screenshot the error for me please?

This is happening to me as well. It started last Friday I think. Here's a screenshot of what comes up when I try to access the site through the main url (hopefully I'm uploading it right).

I get that error all the time, I use Chrome as well and clear my caches once an hour (it's really finnicky about it being on time too or it stops loading pages). Another one is that javascript could not be loaded.

Thank you!!! Java needed to be updated. I don't know how I missed that. Hopefully the OP sees this and is able to get it working also.
