Once upon a time, long ago and far away, I uploaded a skintone series called "FX2". I have no idea why I named it that, but it was well received and even featured. It took me forever and a day, but I fixed things I got feedback on, fixed still more things that I personally didn't like, and finished an updated version. Unfortunately I have been struck by some freaky weird auto-immune problem that has messed up my eyes so now I struggle through the upload process. So bear with me, it's been a long road but I'm getting these skins up.

Since it did take me forever to work on this, I came up with two good variants. One is an update of the original FX2 faces and the other is "Glow". Glow came about when I was trying to make a very dark skintone and I got this cool effect that kept the usefulness of FX2 but was different enough to stand on its own merit.

Other skin shades are forthcoming. I do have one of my brown shades of FX2 already uploaded on my Beverly Sim here: http://www.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=314999 The current Beverly upload that replaced the one lost to the MTS2 server crash does have the finalized version of FX2 Medium Brown on.

I'm releasing the tones separately instead of as one big skin set mostly because it's the best way for me to show and explain what I need to for each color type. The different skin colors are close but not identical to each other because I don't simply adjust color sliders to get different skin colors. The process is more intricate than that to avoid weird pixel effects.

One thing I'm proud of is that after all these years and countless projects, I've gotten good at minimizing seams in the skins. You are totally encouraged to use my skins for your own projects and if you do add blend in your own photos to my skintones, try not to take your image too close to the edges of the skins, and you'll avoid creating ugly seams.

As time and health permits, I will be uploading Creators Files with the ORIGINAL skin images from my own project files so that you can work with undegraded images for your own use. I totally completely encourage and support the use of my work to make your own customizations. You do not even need to credit me. Just create and have fun. That's all I ask!

Thanks to all the downloaders who have provided feedback, criticism, encouragement and thanks.

Thanks to my four year old daughter, Veronica, for helping mommy know what works and what doesn't when my eyes are "fuzzy." I love you sweetie.
