^_^ thank you for this, its more relistic but at lest were I live repairmen cost around 400 - 900 depending on what kind of repairman it is. Plummer run about 400-500, Lighting and power guy runs about 600-700 and if it someone fixing your computer wowza 800 - 900 if its at the same level as a broken sims computer.

This is much more realistic and the first thing I have downloaded in days!! I will be downloading the 300 one, repairmen in my area are usually over-priced and a lot of the times it costs more to repair something than it is actually worth. Thanks!!

Wonderful! Thanks for making this. I always want to make it a bit harder to keep up all my sims money to make it more realistic and this is a perfect addition to all the realistic mods out there.

Thanks for sharing this mod, Around here it would cost me around £100 to call out the repairman, that's even before he even did the job! So i'm downloading the 300 one as it would be more realistic, so many thanks for again for this mod!!

I always thought the prices of houses and cars in general were too cheap. Some of the houses I've created and installed in my game would cost waaaay more than 300k in real life. One thing that interest me is that is cost an arm and a leg to shot for groceries and books.

I love this, but my sims are always poor and always breaking things, so 50 simeoleons is a blessing. Thanks for making it though! I will use it when I get richer sims!

Well, I would suggest $400 because there is an opportunity for teens at school: They get the chance to repair the storage water heater because a repairman would be too expensive for the school's budget. After fulfilling this task they receive $300 and even a higher reward with this one lifetime happiness bonus. I don't know the exact value of the second, but I hope it is less than my suggestion, perhaps someone else should verify this.

@ Kidneybeen: Your sims are poor? Ever thought about making them repair their objects by themselves? Learning this skill at the library is for free, also repairing and upgrading pluming is an excellent training, because you aren't riscing electrolutions.

I always though 50 was pretty realistic for a small job. It should depend on what item they're repairing, how long it takes and how many items there are. Like in TS2, it £50 initally, then £100 extra every hour it took. So if you had 4 broken items, the price racked up because it took more than one hour.

This is a great idea. I"m amazed at how much some people are paying though. My father is a general contractor in the Portland Oregon metro area, and our business only charges between 50 and 100. Any chance you could maybe make a 75 and 100. I agree 50 is a little low, those are normally routine- plugged sink or toilets. But emergency calls, etc are 75-100 an hour. I would love to see at least a 75...
