This is a cloned version of the Round and Round Train Set that comes with Free Time. I wanted to try and make a bunch of cheaper, crappier versions of expensive items, so that my sims who are just starting out can join in on the fun, too...at the expense of good-looking stuff.
In the real world, you don't have to buy everything brand new. Why shouldn't this apply to our sims, too?
So this is, for the budding train enthusiast, a used Train Set. It costs 300 Simoleans, and comes complete with...a bunch of poorly-treated dingy equipment!
Original and "Refurbished" Editions:
Changes from the original:
-Town pieces are aged and dingy, resembling a town in great disrepair
-Grass has become much more worn and dirty
-A child has attempted to use juice for water, leaving a stain
-Mountain has, surprisingly, become dirty
-Trees have lost their leafy greenness, becoming faded! Wouldn't be surprised if the previous owner left this thing outside.
-Track is dirty from kids playing around it all the time
-Bridge has broken supports
-Children have vandalized the billboards, one in immature simlish and one with a kitty
-Cars have clearly been played with and have scratches and dirt
-Railroad signs are broken
-Some of the lights are faded
Things that were NOT changed:
-Roads. Unfortunately the road texture is a corner piece, end piece, 3 way piece, and a small, small road piece. If I edited any of these apart from making them dingier(which I did), there'd be too-easy-to-notice repetitive dirty marks going down the roads, and it just looked unpleasant.
-There are no stat changes- it doesn't increase your sim's skills/interests any slower. It's simply uglier to look at- but that's the price you pay for huge savings!
This is my first upload in 4 years. If it goes well, I will probably make more skilling/hobby items for cheapo sims. I know there are lots of people out there with Dirty home sets they like to use, so hopefully I can make some stuff they'll appreciate, too. :D
Has been tested and has its own GUIDs. Will not replace the original train set and it does not function as a recolor.
UPDATED! I used the compressorizer on the file and made it significantly smaller. Redownload, please!

Both sets have the same lighting! Both are underneath the same lighting the same place in a windowless room. All the color changes are from the new texture. :D
