Thank you so much, I dont know what EA was thinking when they made this, that TS1 is better than TS2? havent been playing for two hours and already there's been at least ten fires

This is SUCH an important mod I'm going to see if it still works. I've got all EP/SP.

I examined a couple of the files here and the ones I checked appear to be patch compatible, but as far as I can tell without checking every file, the mod doesn't include the files needed for the EP/SP fireplaces, but should work for base-game fireplaces.

As a general note, be careful using any mod that is made using morgade's mod generator as that tool hasn't been updated for a long time, so generally the authors of mods made with that tool will need to update files manually otherwise it will break the game due to incomplete and/or incompatible files. I also found in testing that tool that it will sometimes included unnecessary files which increases the likelihood of conflicts.

This is an awesome mod! It would be even better if you could disable your sims from catching on fire while inventing. I've lost 2 of my favourite sims that way

It works but it seems to cause the game to lag badly.

Wow, thanks! I had a fire on my lot that wouldn't go away after calling the firefighters, selling the source, moving my Sims, bulldozing the lot, and finally putting a water tower on it, it just kept appearing! This fixed that and worked very nicely, the fire just died out! Thank you so much!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I just find it really embarrassing because I always end up having a panic attack when my Sims are in danger. It's stupid, but I've been playing the Sims since I was a kid, which at that time, having a house fire would seriously terrify me. I've ended up feeling the same way now and this mod is a life-saver for me. I wish people would understand that even though I appreciate a game with realism, watching my Sims burn to death can be uhh... unsettling.

I really wish someone would take over this mod. I can't stand the fires from the fireplace. They leave soot on the ground that can't be cleaned up. The only way to clean it is to go to build mode move the fire place go back to live mode clean then back to build mode to move fireplace back. Why haven't EA fixed this.

Is this mod no longer working? I installed the nofiremod and while the fire in the fireplace burned for hours, it did eventually set the living room on fire.

Please, can someone update this mod? My poor sims keep dying because of fire, but I like fireplaces all too much. Thanks.

Can someone please update this mod? I recently had a house fire, and I was in it and had to be rescued in the nick of time (fire inches away) from my neighbor. I love sims 3 but am now terrified of fire.
