Actually Admiral Nelson only had one useful eye when he had this portrait painted, although he never wore a patch. He was struck by debris in his right eye (not the left) during a siege in Corsica. He also lost his right arm in combat.

In the sport of cricket, the score (either a side's or an individual's) of 111 is known as "Nelson" - one eye, one arm, one...

To avoid jinxing the batsman, those on the batting side not currently playing must lift their feet off the floor or ground until the score passes 111.

Thank you for this! Would you mind posting the text that goes with the painting? Is it the same as the Sims 1 text?

I'm actually aware that Lord Nelson lost his right eye and never wore a patch, however there's a painting in Sims 1 called "Admiral Landgraab Portrait" that I was trying to re-create which does have a (rather poorly drawn) eyepatch. I wasn't trying to make it exactly faithful to the historical truth of Lord Nelson...just to re-create a Sims 1 object that I felt the Sims 2 needed.

This painting actually shows up as a color option for the "Bella Squared" portrait in Sims 2, so I didn't get to put unique text with it.

I kind of doubt I'll create more, but I happened to really want this picture from Sims 1 in Sims 2. It was my favorite Sims 1 decorative object. I figure if I wanted it, someone else probably did, too, especially seeing as Sims 2 seems to be lacking in good portraits.

Hey, thank you so much for this! I've been looking for old-fashioned paintings for my Victorian Sims' homes for a while now, and this should make a perfect addition!

That you so much for this portrait, it was one of my fav items in Sims1. I have a pirate ship and a beachhouse where Admiral Landgrab will go nicely. Thanks for sharing your great work.
