I've already started to work on some family starters, however, so far I haven't succeeded in finishing one that doesn't cost more than 20,000 (or 20,500) - even without decoration and things like that. It's a real challenge for me to create a family starter home and I'll keep working on this.

Thanks to all of you for your lovely comments. Your feedback is highly appreciated. :lovestruc

For my family starters, I generally use a basement. Then there's no extra windows to worry about, and no exterior paint to pay for. Give 'er a go!

Ohhhh, that is a great idea - very clever - I'd never thought of that. I'll try that next time when I continue working on my family lots. Thank you for the pointer! :lovestruc

I'm a bit confused. I recently updated my game to version 4.0.87.006001 and I cannot get these starter homes to install. My launcher claims that I need to update to the latest version for the homes to work, but I am updated! Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?

EDIT:

Haha, apparently I was not updated. My launcher thought I was because there was a broken link between it and the EADM. Fixed.

I'm glad that you've been able to solve your problem. Just recently I had problems with my EADM too, and currently I'm having problems with the launcher - it's never boring with having those two things installed.

These are amazing! I haven't seen starters that are as nice as these!!! Is there any way that I could use these starters to populate my world I'm creating in CAW? I basically was thinking about uploading my project to MTS and see if anyone would want to create houses for me with their full credit, but these would be an awesome start!!! If I were to ever upload my world, I'd obviously give you full and complete credit! (If your curious about the world itself, check out this thread over at Snooty Sims: http://snootysims.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=33964)

Wow, I really like your world. Still needs a bit tweaking here and there but the whole look is great - I like the shape of it.

As for the houses I think you should do your own houses, if you can. Of course you could post your world here and ask people to build houses for it but I think you shouldn't spoil your world with stuff (=lots) that wasn't made by yourself - otherwise you'll never be able to say "I made all of that myself". Better take your time and do everything you can yourself.

I've been thinking about your request for about a day or so, however, I must say that I don't feel comfortable with the thought that my houses would be included in another upload. The reason why I don't like to give my houses for projects like this is that I'm awfully slow at building houses. I've never build a house in only a few hours. Even if the house isn't too big it takes me at least two or three days, five or six if a garden is included.

It's been a while since I asked, and I agree with you. I have been and will continue to create my own houses. I've been working on a few and I realize how hard it is. I've downloaded your houses, but i'll put them aside for personal use. This neighborhood is going to be mine It is really fun to build houses. And even if they aren't all amazing, they'll be mine. And It's all a first, so whatever comes out of it will still be good, either way. Thanks for that revelation, it's honestly the right way to go

Oh no, is that true? Maybe this is just a bug and will be fixed with the newest patch? It was indeed bad if older lots were no longer compatible with newer game versions. I'll see what I can do, however, it may take a while longer to solve this problem.

EDIT: Please update your game with the newest patch (released 1.2.2011). Other people are still able to install the lots, however, they're all having the game patched to the newest version (1.19/2.14/3.10/4.7/5.5/6.2/7.0)

So many different homes !

I can't make a starter home, because they all cost more than 16000 or 20000 §, and they aaaaaall look like the others !

Thank you :D

Such an amazing idea! I am too lazy to make one house, yet you made 20 of them!
Thank you very very much.
By the way, do you actually drink Yogi Tea? Because I am addicted to these!
