You know that guy, the one who was always going to do something amazing, and talked about it all the time... but just hadn't got started yet?

That's Jared.



Oh, he's a sweetheart. He'll do anything for anyone - especially a pretty girl - and he has dreams, dude. Big ones. He's going to, like, be famous. And stuff. Just... wait, what? Did you say something?

Yes, Jared's trouble is that he's easily distracted. It's not that he lacks talent - he's pretty nifty with anything musical - but he just can't seem to stay focused long enough to succeed at much. Plus, he does tend to screw things up. He says he was born unlucky, but some suspect it's more to do with all those late nights, crazy parties at which some guy was totally going to introduce him to someone from a minor record label... and did I mention the pretty girls?

If you have nightclubs in your town, you will find Jared there. If there is a beach, park, or cafe where he can busk, he will. If there is any lot that has a bubble blower... well, you'll need a crowbar to prise him away.


Bio: Jared dreams of making it big in the music industry, though his motivations may be more to do with the lifestyle than the art. Will he work hard enough to make a go of things, or will his talent be lost under all those potential distractions?

UPDATE

The skin used in the screenshots is Strawberry by M.Calero. Unfortunately, the creator deleted her downloads. You can still find the skin if you search, but I've updated Jared so that he is no longer packaged with it. The weird texture issues some people were experiencing were because M.Calero's skin used a custom tone ramp. It you are still encountering the error, it is fixable by changing the skin tone, saving the sim to your library, and then reloading. Good luck!

Clothing:

Everyday: Sweater (and pattern), jeans and shoes are all by Aikea-Guinea at club-crimsyn, without whom my sims would be nude.
Formal: Shirt and open jacket by Aikea; pants and shoes are, I believe, Late Night.
Athletic: shorts and shoes are basegame, top is Generations.
Sleepwear: briefs by Marcos_Edson
Swimwear: trunks and pattern are basegame.

Installation & Compatibility:

Extract the .sim file and place in your SavedSim folder. You do not need any expansion or stuff packs but, for Jared's tattoos to work, your game must be patched to at least 1.12.
