Cop-A-Feel: Loveseat OMSP

Add a chair OMSP to your existing furniture (or whatever) and your sims will autonomously sit there when they need a chair. I wanted these for my teens bedrooms so they can read or eat a sandwich on their bed but they'd be great for dorm rooms too. I imagine machinima and story creators have better options available already considering all of the amazing pictures I see so I can't see how these would be useful for creators. So with that in mind, I decided to only make a few heights for my sims to sit on everyday type objects: beds, toy boxes and the normal chair height specifically but those heights turned out to be pretty versatile.

Catalog Sort:
Seating/Dining Room - $0

Features:
  • Base Game Compatible
  • Shiftable w/ Apartment Life and Quarter Tile Placeable w/ Mansions & Gardens
  • Make All Visible option so you can always find these to make adjustments or take them out
  • Color Coded for ease of placement

These aren't perfect and the greater the height difference between the original chair and stool animations the more obvious that becomes. Sims heels also clip into the bed frames (some more than others) but using the stool animations for getting on and off the bed are much better than the chair animations so I think it's more than a fair trade. There's a short video on YouTube showing these in use that you're welcome to look at.

Placement:
When placing these I found that for some objects--including the bed--you need to pull out the OMSP a quarter of a tile or sims won't be able to use them. For other objects, like with the toy box, you can simply place them like normal and they work fine. For most objects as long as you can see the full red tab sims seem to be able to use them. If they do need to be adjusted off of the grid you can use quarter tile placement if you have M&G or boolprop snapobjectstogrid false if you don't. If you've never used cheats to build or decorate there's a nice tutorial by TanyaWhan on the exchange you might find useful.

Once you've placed these, have a sim test them to be sure they can be reached and then you can go ahead and use the design tool to make them invisible for a one time fee of $15. If you need them to be visible again and you use the Make All Visible option you won't be charged the $15 fee when you make them invisible again.

Terms of Use:
You're free to use however you'd like, for whatever you'd like.

Special Thanks:
To julsfes for allowing me to use her visible/invisible BHAVs from her wonderful SlotBlocker and OMSP Controller. It makes a world of difference when it comes to using these so thanks again. And to my upload mod whose suggestions improved the animations and made this a better upload--much appreciated!
