Behavior
The mod will let you go to 24 slots by default. The reason for this is to help limit performance issues on lower-end machines. However since it's not my place to decide where your limits are, you can indeed override this by adding "true" to the end of your command.

If you have a sim with a space in the first or last name, then that part of the name will need to be wrapped in quotes
Example:

Delete a sim by name:

NOTICE
The experimental version no longer exists as Maxis fixed their portrait generation and the game no longer crashes. Feel free to add as many sims as you can handle. The amount of sims you can have without performance issues depends heavily on your computer's abilities.

Workarounds:
You can not edit a fullhouse family in CAS, as it will cut the family size back down to 8. Below are alternatives for managing fullhouse households.
  • Create a Household: Click on a lot and select Create Household there instead.
  • Place Existing Household: Click on a lot and select Create Household. Then from CAS, load the household from the gallery/library.
  • Delete a Sim: Only 8 sims will show up in CAS. To delete extra sims, use the included tm.deletesim command.
  • Edit a Sim: You can not edit a sim while they're part of an extended household. Doing so will remove all but 8 sims.

NOTE: This is a script mod. You must have script mods turned on in your gameplay options > "Other" tab. The mod must be left zipped! and you must be on the latest patch for them to function. New patches may disable the script mod in gameplay options.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:
1. Download: Click the File tab to see the download link. Click the link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
Read the upload description for installation instructions. If nothing else is specified, do the following:
No Extraction Required (Script Mods):
1. Cut and paste the .zip file(s) into your Mods folder
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
  • Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
Script mods need to be placed directly in \Mods or one level below that (e.g. \Mods\Scripts) Ė sub-folders nested any deeper wonít work.
Extraction Required (Everything Else):
1. Use WinRAR (Windows) to extract the .package file(s) from the .rar or .zip file(s).
2. Cut and paste the .package file(s) into your Mods folder

Need more information?
  • Anyone can use both .rar and .zip files easily! On Windows, use WinRAR.
  • If you don't have a Mods folder, just make one.
  • Mod still not working? Make sure you have script mods enabled

Will it crash when you save by the save panel now? The issue was said to be random so did you have the issue in the current game? I save using save panel, no problem.

Havent tried it today. it was okay when I had 9 or 10 sims, but I have 25 now and it would crash for me every time if I used the save panel. MCCC is updated so ill give it a shot and see if it crashes again.

Edit: Yeah, its still crashing for me. auto-save still works and such though.

This mod isn't working and i also have tried the control center and that doesn't work either. Has anyone else found another mod that allows more then 8 sims!! Someone had posted a cheat to use for the master control mod but they didn't really give good instructions. Not saying this ruins my game but i cant play any family that has more then 8 sims and i cant add pets to a family that already has 8 sims.

the new update did indeed fix the save issue but my game crashes sometimes at random. I havent troubleshooted it yet though cuz im too lazy lol but has anyone else had this issue?

Edit: also just a tip, if anyone has issues with puppies and kittens using stairs, if you lower the foundation to its lowest level, (not ground level) and remove the stairs, they will climb up and down the foundation to get inside and outside the house. they wont be able to use the stairs going to a second floor though.

I have now installed both patch and pets and this mod continues to work perfectly. My household plus sizes are 9 and 11. No issues to be found. The game saved without problems. So it is just as I suspected ether those having issues have gone way far 25 plus households or there is a conflict with another mod.

I suspected that too. Either installation issues or they have not enabled testingcheat.

The Pet patch broke a number of CC. All kind of objects like beds, clothes.
The program Sim4Studio have a batch command that corrects most CC.
You must register but it's free.

Thanks. I think I fixed it myself though by removing the sims 4 folder to generate a new one. all my CC seems to be working fine so far.

Also, I cant figure out how to use fullhouse to add strays to my household since they dont have last names. I used the sim info mod to find out stray pets household names and tried using that for their last name but it doesnt seem to work.

Either im doing something wrong or full house isnt working for me. Im sure it may be because it needs to be updated... But I did hear some say this mod still works. anyone else having issues with this mod? or is it working for anyone with the new update?

If you mean to have more than 8 sims in CAS so no.
CAS is a separate program that is not moddable. CAS was released as a demo before the TS4 was released and then integrated into the game..

WE *CAN* GO INTO CAS
YOU JUST HAVE TO TAKE A SIM /ONE AT A TIME/
I have a household with 14 sims and successfully have taken teen sims (I only have teens, though I don't think it'd be any different with an adult) into CAS using the cheat to change the career outfit, as that only takes one sim into cas:

sims.modify_career_outfit_in_cas

I tested this both with and without cas.fulleditmode on and both times I was able to use CAS as normal and come back without losing any sims. I'll let you know if I run into any trouble. I have taken children into CAS using that cheat before, so I think it should work on them, too. I have not tried it on toddlers.

Hi! I have the same issue where if I go into edit, my others sims go away. I tried to do the one at a time, but it doesn't work with children. It says that the household need at least one teen/adult. How can i edit my kid without being blocked or losing the others?
