Behavior
The mod will let you go to 24 slots by default. The reason for this is to help limit performance issues on lower-end machines. However since it's not my place to decide where your limits are, you can indeed override this by adding "true" to the end of your command.

If you have a sim with a space in the first or last name, then that part of the name will need to be wrapped in quotes
Example:

Add extra sim to your household:

Delete a sim by name:

NOTICE
The experimental version no longer exists as Maxis fixed their portrait generation and the game no longer crashes. Feel free to add as many sims as you can handle. The amount of sims you can have without performance issues depends heavily on your computer's abilities.

Workarounds:
You can not edit a fullhouse family in CAS, as it will cut the family size back down to 8. Below are alternatives for managing fullhouse households.
  • Create a Household: Click on a lot and select Create Household there instead.
  • Place Existing Household: Click on a lot and select Create Household. Then from CAS, load the household from the gallery/library.
  • Delete a Sim: Only 8 sims will show up in CAS. To delete extra sims, use the included tm.deletesim command.
  • Edit a Sim: You can not edit a sim while they're part of an extended household. Doing so will remove all but 8 sims.

NOTE: This is a script mod. You must have script mods turned on in your gameplay options > "Other" tab. The mod must be left zipped! and you must be on the latest patch for them to function. New patches may disable the script mod in gameplay options.

Basic Download and Install Instructions:
1. Download: Click the File tab to see the download link. Click the link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
Read the upload description for installation instructions. If nothing else is specified, do the following:
No Extraction Required (Script Mods):
1. Cut and paste the .zip file(s) into your Mods folder
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
  • Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
Script mods need to be placed directly in \Mods or one level below that (e.g. \Mods\Scripts) sub-folders nested any deeper wont work.
Extraction Required (Everything Else):
1. Use WinRAR (Windows) to extract the .package file(s) from the .rar or .zip file(s).
2. Cut and paste the .package file(s) into your Mods folder
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\

Need more information?
  • Anyone can use both .rar and .zip files easily! On Windows, use WinRAR.
  • If you don't have a Mods folder, just make one.
  • Mod still not working? Make sure you have script mods enabled

This mod don't support "try for a baby to get more than 8". You need another mod for that part:

You also have another problem as you can't edit big housholds in CAS.

Use MC instead. Solves all problems.

Hey, sorry for the late reply but if you are still having an issue try downloading the .rar file into the mods folder. Dont unzip it.

There are no .rar file but a .zip. Don't unzip.

I've downloaded the zipped mod and turned on script mods in game (and restarted) yet the mod still isn't appearing in my script mods in game. I'm wondering if the mod needs to be updated for a new patch or is there an issue on my end?

So has anyone figured out how to add strays yet? I really want to use this to run an animal shelter from my house, but with no last names I can't figure out how to add more strays.

Fantastic mod, that being said what are the odds of ever being able to move sims via the neighborhood menus, a la Boiling Oils' sims 2 mod? I know that's a bit of a stretch but it's something I'd be much interested to see. Same for the ability to modify the larger households in the regular menus instead of having to use MCC. Are these features that are impossible to implement due to game limitations?

I do not understand this mod. It does not work for me. It reaches the 8 person limit and will not allow me to have anymore babies or anything past that point.

This mod is for moving in sims only.
You need another mod to change the 8 sims limitation in Try for babies:

Default Try for Babies Mod CAS issues?
If I use the Try for babies mod to have more kids even if I have the filled up 8 slots, do I still have to separate the household to go into CAS?

Yes, CAS can only handle 8 sims still. You can use the walk-in-wardrob to change individual sims in CAS.

All of these problems with bigger families is solved by Master Controller.
You can move sims: The cheat sim_move <name> to <another household> or <active>
You can try for babies: You can set number of sims in houshold.
You can edit individuals: MC senses if there are more than 8 sims and automagically change to individual CAS.

I don't know if I'm just doing something wrong or what, but...
I have all packs purchased and in use.
This is my first time using this mod, and I have the Try for Baby mod for 8+ sims in a household. I am at 10 sims in the household and I'm trying to go into CAS for my 10th sim. I was trying to move some sims out so I could go into CAS and when I hovered over the Separate (or whatever it is) Household button, my game crashed. It still does this, but only once I got to 10 sims, it was fine with 9. Is there any way to fix this?

(Sorry if this is explained really oddly... I'm bad at explaining and this is my first post.)

Hey, I am trying to make a Danganronpa series with this mod but, when I do the command to bring in the sim, it says "Cannot locate sim." I have script mods enabled, I didn't unzip the file, I did everything right... But it isn't working.
