UPDATE March 22 2016: These goggles were one of the first items I made when TS4 first came out, and at that time, there was no way to change the specular (shine effect) for CAS items, with the result that the straps on these were much too shiny and there was nothing I could do about it. This updated version now makes the straps less shiny and the lenses more shiny, plus other improvements such as including newer clothing categories that didn't exist back then, and adds back the custom thumbnail, which disappeared at some point after one of EA's many CAS-breaking patches. If you already have this item and want the updated version, just re-download and let the new version dated 3/22/16 overwrite your old version.

Here's a TS4 conversion of my TS3 conversion of the TS2 Rave Goggles. They are for male and female Teen to Elder, and are found under Earrings in CAS.

I've given them 12 recolours/retextures as below. The first row of pics consist of the four original TS2 Rave colour schemes:

Next are three additional custom Rave recolours I put together, and a distressed brown Steampunky retexture with a glass texture to the lens rather than the original biohazard symbol:

The final four are 'glass'-lensed retextures in silver, black, distressed gold, and a fetching colourful multicoloured scheme. Note that as I have categorised these as earrings, they can be worn together with glasses as depicted on the 3rd sim below, so you can have scientist types who wear both at the same time.

In-game, Bob Pancakes and his missus get ready to do some exploring for precious gems in the 'glass'-lenses version, and Don Lothario and his Caliente galpals go out on the town in the Rave version.

With this item, your mileage will vary as to which hairs go okay with it. Most will look fine as the strap goes under the thicker hairs in a natural-looking way, but some can show on-and-off random clipping along the sides according to the shape of the hair. So you'll need to experiment.

If you want to make recolours for this item, it was cloned from the unisex earplugs and uses the tiny area of the standard TS4 texture map allocated to earrings. It's a challenge to recolour/retexture these due to the extremely small texture size - if you want to see what you'd be up against, I uploaded the UV map as the second-to-last in the row of pics in the row of thumbnails above. Yes, it really is that tiny!

If you want to use the UV map, click on its thumbnail to get the full-sized pic, then right-click on the full-sized pic and choose 'Save Image As' (or whatever wording your browser uses) when you get the pop-up menu. After you download it, you need to rotate it 90 degrees clockwise to its correct portrait orientation (I had to rotate it and upload it as landscape because the upload system wouldn't accept a 1024x2048 size, only 2048x1024.)
