Hello everyone! Today I am finally releasing a build I have been working on for months now. You may have seen it in the works in the forum threads but now it is finally done!

For those of you who live in Florida, namely around Sanibel or Captiva, you may have heard of this establishment. This is The Bubble Room restaurant, a crazy and colorful eatery on Captiva island. It was originally created in 1979 and started as a small one room restaurant. Over time, however, it has grown into a crazy and whimsical place filled with hundreds of things to see such as vintage toys, photographs of Hollywood celebrities from years ago, crazy artwork, and so much more! I have attached some images below of the original restaurant just to give everyone a look at how amazing it is inside and out!

Now, being a frequent visitor to Captiva's neighboring island of Sanibel, I have visited this establishment plenty of times. And I have always wanted to know if I could somehow build it in the Sims! The main issue is that the layout is so bizarre it seems to go against the game's abilities. Nonetheless, I began to experiment, and created FOUR different versions, each one a trial of different parts of the building. I finally figured it all out and built the final version I am sharing with you all today. Despite the crazy amount of stuff inside, the building is perfectly functional and is set as a coffeehouse in game. The pastry bar will be operated by an NPC as will the upstairs bar, so your Sims can get food and drinks and wander around as they please! They can also interact with various items such as juke boxes, fish tanks, and game machines.

You may notice a lot of blacked out areas. These are the areas of the restaurant that customers cannot access in real life and I have no picture details of. These include the kitchens on all three floors, and the gift shop office. The large blacked out area on the first floor is simply the underside of the foundation.

I really hope you all enjoy this recreation of this iconic Florida restaurant. I am so happy to have been able to build it and hope it adds a spot of fun to your towns! Whether or not you know of the real place, it will still surely be a fun addition to your games! Happy Simming!
