06/24/18 - Updated for Seasons v2

This mod changes the DJ Booth Low Volume Setting such that:
- The volume is completely muted for the DJ Booth instead of just being low
- The interaction name is changed from "Low" to "Mute It" in the pie menu
- The DJ will still perform normally, there just won't be any sound

Why? Because if you are like me, you hate the music from the DJ Booth. I want the DJ to drop my custom music, not play sounds of a horn honking (like for real?). So I place speakers around the club and the DJ Booth to try and drown out the awful noise but it still creeps thru with the volume set to low. With this mod you can completely mute the DJ Booth so the DJ can truly appear to play whatever music you have jammin on the speakers behind it.

This mod pairs well with my Community Speakers which will play music in sync on residential and community lots: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=599423

Basic Download and Install Instructions:
1. Download: Click the File tab to see the download link. Click the link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.
Read the upload description for installation instructions. If nothing else is specified, do the following:
No Extraction Required (Script Mods):
1. Cut and paste the .zip file(s) into your Mods folder
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
  • Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
Script mods need to be placed directly in \Mods or one level below that (e.g. \Mods\Scripts) – sub-folders nested any deeper won’t work.
Extraction Required (Everything Else):
1. Use WinRAR (Windows) to extract the .package file(s) from the .rar or .zip file(s).
2. Cut and paste the .package file(s) into your Mods folder
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings\(Current User Account)\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\
  • Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: Users\(Current User Account)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\

Need more information?
  • Anyone can use both .rar and .zip files easily! On Windows, use WinRAR.
  • If you don't have a Mods folder, just make one.
  • Mod still not working? Make sure you have script mods enabled

I love those headphones! I've been trying to find something like those, they seem like they're lit up? Regardless, I tried to find other headphones and none as cool as those! Would love to know what those are. Thanks. Also, I've looked into modding DJ music -> into custom music. (ie: play a custom file) and it's really complex and complicated according to the notes of some other modder (which he gave up but his notes are still up) - especially to someone like myself who has no modding (creating mods) experience. Just thought i'd share that info though.

Thanks! Those are the Butterfly Headphones from Studio K Creation. I initially looked into the DJ Booth playing custom music but as you said it's much more complicated and honestly I didn't feel it would give me the result I wanted. I didn't want to restrict the music to specific audio files nor restrict the sound to just come from the DJ Booth. Using the community speakers and swapping out custom music while the game is running is just too priceless. Try muting it, I think you will like it ^^

Yes, this is what I wanted since I tried the DJ booth - my nightclub has retro speakers and no DJ booth, because of the reasons you mentioned. Thank you!
