Wow Garden of Shadows has an awesome Sims 2 update! The May project, a group effort by a lot of simmers, is called 'Apocalypse : Something Went Bang!' Many things to choose from. Especially if you enjoy making hoods that have a post-apocalypse theme.
Just a few of the things that they have up for grabs are:

* A study of a scientist, who is struggling to find a cure for an infection in a post apocalyptic world. Very cool grubby feel to it.
* Grunged up wallpapers
* A new mesh set called 'Condemned'. Which is boards to make boarded up windows. (Very cool).
* Some wicked looking sets of sims. 2 sets that I saw.
* 9 grubby night gowns, or 'hospital gowns' which an example is pictured in the Night Zombies screenshot.

I'm using a lot the treasures chests that the expansion pack World Adventure has given us. They're perfect to store various Sims' items, they allow some hacks like the "Give" interaction from MTS to work. Actually, I'd like having a chest in all my houses, but even with Create-a-Style, the treasures chests don't fit all the decorating styles...
So, I made new ones. Due to a Workshop bug, they're not based on the WA chests, but work the same, that's why I call them "chest-like": you can store your Sims items in the chest-like by choosing the "Open" option and drag and drop the items you want to store, or to remove.

You’ll probably think I’ve gimped the set because it doesn’t include a toilet or a bath – and for some people this may be a deal breaker! Luckily, EA has a couple of baths & toilets that work perfectly with this set! (for the bath use the Plumbrite “Bathe Today” bath, and whatever toilet you like, they’re all fine). With that, let me go into what IS included with the set :)

I wanted a simple, backless shower – of which there are a couple out there – but I wanted one with a base, so there ya go. I saw this picture, and immediately fell in love with the beautiful raspberry sink (and her dress, but thats another story) I and wanted to make something like it! So I did. I also made some towels and separate towel rails as well! There’s also a nice big mirror for your Sims to admire themselves in, and a wall sconce to plop over the top, so that they may properly see themselves of course! I also thought a bathmat was required so made that as well. Also included are 2 shower curtains – one straight and one curved/corner. All in all there are 8 new meshes and one new pattern in this set!

The towels are a little tricky, I made them to perfectly fit on the sink (they are separate) and you need to use moveobjects to place them – their footprint should be under the sink. You’ll need to hold down the alt key if you want to place them on any of the other rails, no big deal if you ask me :)
