View Full Version : Applying maxis colour sets to new objects

Hi

I am working on a small project and I am making a new 1 tile door to complement the Maxis Colonial windows. I have been snuffling in the objects in SimPE and it seems that all of these windows recolours are linked in some way - this is good as all windows match up - however, I am unsure how this set of colours can be taken from the original window (the 1 tile colonial midnight ride window) and applied to my door. My plan for the door is to "doorify" the window surround and probably use the 4 score door for animations. I have the mesh bit under control, but I cannot see how to get the colours - can you point me in the right direction?

Its specifically for making your new object slaved to the maxis item.

hi thanks for answer - I am working hard on this - but when I click the link I get a message telling me that I am not staff...........
Do you know of other links? - BTW, next set of windows up for upload, so project moving slowly along....

Thank you - bookmarking now....need to sleep, work tomorrow. How do I close the thread since you have answered my question (it looks like it is answered glancing over tutorial, but I am really tired so thinking is slow.)
