When sims 2 first came out, there were rumors that there was going to be a sims 2 superstar-like EP to go along with the sims 1 superstar, now that would have been something I would have loved to have seen, I know that EA remade most of (well come to think of it all of) the sims 1 EPs except for Superstar.
I would have also liked to have seen an adult EP that would be rated M. It could have included smoking, alchohol, and sexy things. Basically all you would see on a site like sexysims2.com but made into an EP.
So what are some things you would have liked to seen made into an EP? You can also discuss why you think EA chose not to make the ones I listed, and some of the ones others will list.

Some kind of build mode expansion with new stairs/windows/doors etc... Here in the UK our houses are tiny and compact compared to US houses. Trying to replicate house plans I know is very difficult as the stairs never fit right!

I would've liked to see an EP that expanded on creativity skill. Like be able to be invited to concert/music halls, bars, etc to perform, or even get your own tv show, or star in a movie. (in tv shows or movies you could choose from different lines, like in the opera scene from FFVI)
This would give me a good excuse to create a Kitty-N sim (if I had the meshing skill to create the costume)
Listening to Kitty-N's theme song from Bust-A-Groove 2 as I'm typing this btw :jest:

Boarding school-type EP. You could send your children to a school, and wacky hijinks ensue. There would also be a job or two where you needed to be in a boarding school as a child, and maybe one where you needed both a Boarding school education, and a college education. And of course, more clothes and objects, and a new paranormal type: The Science Expirement.

Seasons, The Second Coming - Where you have a lot more growable produce that you can eat, not just add sparkles to your meals. So I can send my sim to the orchard and have him pick an apple to eat then and there. Or have strawberries for breakfast/snacks. Then my sims would never have to buy groceries again.
Also, many more items to have a produce market and community gardens where all the sims in the hood can help grow and harvest the produce.
Expand on the fishing so you can get more types of fish and even go fishing for big game fish in the ocean on vacations.
There are still a lot of things that could be done to expand on TS2 and they already have a large customer base. Make TS3 for all the people that want new-fangled gadgets and super-charged computers, but if you want people to buy all new games every five years, people are going to stop being as interested because sometimes old toys are still great.

I was always disappointed that the Young Adult life stage wasn't made standard in any EP's following university. I think it's such an important part of life--gaining skills, meeting friends and working your way up the career ladder. People don't generally go from adolescence to getting married, making babies and buying a home.
Also, ditto on the paranormal expansion.

A real Makin' Magic remake, not the half-arsed nonsense that was tacked on the end of AL. I also would have really loved a pack that introduced a middle age and focused on them and elders.

Heavy Machinery:
* wider driveways to park your monster truck, construction vehicle, tank and giant robot
* have a new sub-hood with playable industrial areas, tied into sim's careers and OFB stuff, with massive funky workstations that have all kinds of interactions and varied usages.
* new careers like Atomic, Engineer etc
* secret projects, crashed UFO's, alien autopsies, nuclear meltdowns
* new supernatural is the LlamaRaptor (survived aborted foetus genetic project / chupacubras)
Theme Park:
* have a new sub-hood with fun stuff, probably ties into BV stuff
* modular theme park rides and fun stuff
* Medieval theme area, Egyptian theme area, Gothic theme area, Pirates theme area?
* Lame minigames and secret stuff
* stay in the hotel or just day trip
* new supernatural is the Mummy (egyptian)
Rich and Famous:
* have a new sub-hood for rich people only (and tourists)
* get famous by career events, masterpiece works, or befriending talent spotter or other rich people
* being famous gets you access to lame expensive prestige objects, also makes you much more attractive generally (though fame may be a turn-off for some)
* get infamous by taking opportunities to betray friends etc. Works the same and is generally easier except you'll have a load of enemies.
* special music/fashion events for people who like that stuff
* re-fittable luxury yachts (boats), act kinda like mobile lots that can switch locations, limited build options
* no ideas for new supernatural.
Wild Adventures and Things:
* I dunno really, like digging in mysterious ruins, doing mini-games for bonus objects, befriending dinosaurs?
* greatly expanded wildlife, customise what kinds of species you want roaming your neighbourhood.
Space Age:
* Yes we will have lots in Space. Expandable space stations in orbit.
* Tons of sci-fi stuff. Mostly very expensive. Hovercars, Teleporters etc.
* Astronaut moved to separate Space career.
* new supernatural is some exciting non-humanoid alien race you can befriend. You can tell them to eat/dissect people you don't like.

Okay, I'm bumping this!
Quite honestly, the big thing I wanted in Sims 2 was apartments, so AL kinda rounded everything off nicely for me, gameplay-wise (at least in things EA would've done - a quasi-adult expansion would've been nice, but they never would've done it - not for a game rated T).
Now that time has passed and I'm really starting to dig into building stuff, I would've loooooved an 'urban' stuff pack: something like what pixelhate did with his walls and floors - a real downtown. My city's downtown/core area (as I imagine most of yours do too) looks so much grungier than the stuff we got with Nightlife - I mean, what's downtown without graffiti???? It's so hard to really create an inner-city / low-income neighbourhood with the Maxis stuff.
That boarding school idea sounds interesting: all the Harry Potter simmers out there would probably die for one - imagine actually being able to sim-ify Hogwarts!!! And the 'middle-age' life stage: 'empty nesters' sort of idea - that point where your kids have all hit college, young adult stage and moved out, but you're not really 'old'...
And toddlers/kids clothes - I mean, teens/adults snagged all the good stuff. IKEA and H&M made SPs. GAP Baby, GAP Kids, anybody?

I'm going to have to say The Sims 2: Secret Mission. It would be a little bit like "MySims Agents" for the DS but a lot more complex. Like if you searched in the newspaper 5 times for a job, the job as an agent would get offered to you, and you would have actions like "Peek through Window" and annoy your neighbors. It was just a random thought, though, don't know how it would work.
Also, my friend and I came up with the idea of "The Sims 2: Crazy Party" which would introduce a neighborhood where you could do whatever you want. Going into the opposite gender bathroom? Okay. Kids living by themselves? Sure! Toddlers WooHooing? Why not? It would be kind of strange but great for random gameplay.
One thing that I really wish they had was "The Sims 2: Music" where your sims could play all types of music (from instruments from an orchestra, to rock bands).
And something I wish FreeTime could have had was kids doing after-school activities like soccer teams and piano lessons and all that. I mean, that's what I thought FreeTime was when I bought it... even though I liked that EP, I wish it had more stuff for kids and teens to do outside of school.

Definately one which sorts out babies, toddlers and kids. I love the idea of being able to follow the kiddie-kins to school, and toddlers to nursery. I would have liked waaaaaaaaaaaay more interactions with babies, like singing to, dancing with, burping, rocking in a pram, taking for walk in pram, etc. and just for the babies to be more realistic - who ever heard of a baby lying quietly in it's cot without a peep, but wide awake, for 6 hours a day?! They should have clothes too. Toddlers should be able to interact with babies, and with each other more.
It's always really bugged me that the little sims are seen as sort of 'secondary'.

i always wanted to see a sims 2: magic town. it could've been incorporated into the magic expansion pack, instead of apartments. where there is a town that has carnival rides and bartering, and dragon eggs and toad spells... and everything else from the sims 1 into a magic town for the sims 2. that would look amazing. i love magic town.

Farming: more crops, more animals, more crafts.
A second family-type stuff pack (yeah, I'm off topic), with more variety for babies and toddlers. EA tearing the floor mat and bounce chair out of AL just to offer it in the store really grinds my gears.
Random interaction I would like to see tacked on to any EP-that-never-was: the ability to give jewelry as a gift and have it show up in the recipient's change appearance options.
(Let's feed the troll only in its own threads.)

Aah, I would have loved this too. How many times have I wanted my sims to be able to buy their girlfriend a pretty necklace, or gift her one of the bracelets they found on the beach, only to remember they can't. :(
The only thing I really think TS2 was left lacking was a middle age between the "young" and "decrepit" age groups. It wouldn't have come with its own EP or SP as it probably wouldn't do much for the masses of teenage players (TS2 Life Begins at 40? :heyhey:), but it would have made sense to come with Bon Voyage or Free Time. As it is, I have to make extensive use of elixir, facial hair and *~*~imagination~*~* to prevent discrepancies like all my young adults coming home fresh out of college just in time to mourn their octogenarian parents dying of old age. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with everything all the EPs gave, there's so much stuff to do and see I can keep playing this game for years and still always find out something new.

I really loved "superstar" and "makin' magic" from TS1 so something similar would be my first choice. Since I'm a Mac user what I would really like would be for EA to have released "all" of the options for Mac. I've very envious when I read cool things others have from AL and FT. I don't care so much about the SP's but darn it I want witches in my game!
There are some really great ideas listed on this thread, maybe we should all just hope EA would hire more creative people. :D

An EP that would have offered us to play in other time periods (set in the distant future/past, different contintents or even planets). If you chose the neighborhood to be set in Midieval Northern Europe, then the roads, vehicles, careers, lifestyle, clothing, etc... everything would reflect that period. If you set it to prehistoric caveman times, there would be no careers or appliances and they'd have to hunt and forage for food. This would have been a truly amazing EP.

I tried to like Sims 3 but it's not for me. I came back to Sims 2 and plan to stay. Against all odds I hope EA decides there is a sufficient fan-base to issue new EP/SPs. (Yeah, I know, but I'm an optimist)
I've always thought it too contrived to kill off Sims you just don't want to play anymore. An EP about medical/sickness/health issues could have sufficient "risk" involved that you could set up unwanted Sims for demise, give others a 50-50 chance of making it through (a mini-game?), make-overs via "plastic surgery", more careers for your Sims, and possibly the chance that your Sim would survive but need "special care", which would be good for us gamers who can now pilot a full house of 8 through their lives on high speed without breaking a sweat.

I always wanted a Baby Stuff Pack! One that not only adds stuff, but features. Baby clothes, a stroller, car seat, more cribs, baby toys, baby swing. And, the feature of putting the baby/toddler in the stroller or car seat and walking/driving them to community lots. I wouldn't care to take babies to community lots, just toddlers. I hate how toddlers from different families can only interact with eachother if they live on apartment lots. ;)

Sadly I'm not familar with Sims 1. Sims 3 I don't like. My friend has it. But I got Sims 2 last Christmas. Thank God for Amazon, because they don't sell Sims 2 in store anymore.

I have dozens of baby clothes. Why not download some and make him happy?
I always wanted a Farm Ep. Seasons was good, but I've always wanted the animals, the ones you can download have been buggy and I’ve never been sure they are safe.

I honestly feel like EA covered everything. Just not enough of everything. We have Bon Voyage, but we want theme parks. We have Seasons, but we want more farm animals (I wanted cows or pigs- animals you could get food from. And horses would be cool). We have University with the Young Adult age, we want a Middle Age. I don't want a middle age. I just want the Adult age to be lengthened to from 30 days to 40 or 50 days.

A lot things I would have liked ot have seen have been mentioned. I love the idea of carnivals, farms, and Superstar. I don't know what Sims 3 did with it, but I know they made something like it. But, seeing I tend to play Family Sims, I would have wanted something geared towards families. Everything from more interaction with babies, toddlers and kids. More clothing and hairstyles for kids & toddlers, and babies having hair period. I wanted at least a middle age group, and more things for elders to do. The elders, desperately needed attractive clothing, and their own LTW's, and also that you could ask a grandparent to look after the kids, instead of nannies. I guess if everyone lived in an apartment complex this could have happened. Still, would of liked the option though. I would have loved baby clothing, nicer maternity wear- I know I can download that. I wanted kids to be able to make at least a sandwich and cereal on their own. Sure, they can make muffins, but no they're too young to make cereal!
In general, I wanted less cartoon like face templates, chest hair for guys, more tatoo options. I could go on but I think a lot of these ideas went into Sims 3?

One for concession stands(for candy floss, ice cream, and other types of goodies), traits to add to the personality points, and possibly one for injuries and some disabilities.
Like suppose Mickey Dosser ignores all warnings from his housemates and does some extreme spinning on the dance sphere, gets thrown from it and ends up a paraplegic? His semester is reset and he gets off of academic probation to get some time to heal and do some physical therapy. He can be cured through an experimental treatment, alien abduction or becoming a creature.
Or maybe one night Tank Grunt's fun and comfort levels drain completely, and he has to be rushed to the hospital. He gets an appendectomy and has to stay home and keep off his feet mostly for a couple days. No problem keeping his fun levels up though - Tank has no playful points and would be quite happy just reading in bed.
Another one... Castor Nova trips and falls down a staircase(or is pushed by an angry, jealous girl), and manages only to break a leg. He'll be a lot slower, especially when walking down slopes or stairs, for one and a half semesters, and will have to build body skill points using only his upper body(or his lower body if he breaks an arm). Perhaps the other girls will still find him sexy, and maybe the big cast would turn them on a little.

I have seen people here wanting to have some boarding schools and to have stuff for rich people, so I guess that could be clumped into an EP similar to or even named "Livin' Large". In this EP, they can also include the removed Power Aspiration. With more Aspirations being added, the structure of UI in CAS and when changing the Aspiration while playing a lot should also change.
As for the farm rural EP, here is something I already mentioned in a similar thread (Quoting myself):
The Sims 2 Farm Life or The Sims 2 Countryside Life Expansion Pack:
Description:
Are your sims tired of the hustle and bustle of their old lame cities? Are they tired from not having a window with a perfect view? Do your sims want to expericne something different in life? Well, this is it! Move your sims out of those polluted homes and get them to live in the country side where the breeze is calming, life is smooth and most importanly: to live the country side with a bunch of new farm animals and crops to grow!
Features:
- New farm animals, that breed, grow, die and are a source of food. The main feature here are horses! And Llamas too! :sheep: :llama: :bunny: :duck: :turtle:
-The Breeze effect! YES! You can now have winds that cause trees to move and blow things around (like old newspapers, papers, leaves, etc...). Also, you can now view birds flying!
- New plants to grow
-"Power is out!" scenario! What can you do when there is no power for several hours to keep your sims happy?
- New crops to grow and trees!
- New objects!
- New lot sizes, even larger than the usual limit (and even smaller)! How are you supposed to make a farm if you dont have enough space?
- Crops and animals can be sold through a business (if OFB is installed).
- Air conditioners that actually blow air with a sound effect, also (if Seasons is installed, they can be used to cool sims down.
- New wall coverings and floors.
- Most importantly: a new NEIGHBORHOOD! With families and those who recently moved in to start a new life.
- A new aspiration: Creatvity! Let's see how creative your sims can be (in the wilderness)!
- Sims can now visit each other's homes!
- And much more surprises!
Who knows? Maybe even a famous talk-show celebrity who settled down in your area, might show up, passing by your house?
As for space stuff, it's more to do with the future so a futuristic (and space) SP would be great.
As for injuries and all that, we need an EP that has an appropriate functioning hospital.

I have some good ideas for new aspirations, like:
* Gaian - They love to garden and compost, and fear throwing stuff away, and they also want to become plantsims and will be sort of wishy-washy about becoming werewolves, and they'd fear becoming vampires since the two life-states kinda clash. They're iffy about witches, but once they turn, will fear being cured. Other wants will be Family/Pleasure related.
* Night Owl - They like being awake at night and often roll wants to become vampires and fear the cure, but are wishy-washy about becoming werewolves. They will also roll wants to meet aliens and get a good memory from it. They also will have some Pleasure and Romance wants, but not fear commitment.
* Animal-Lover - They frequently roll wants to adopt pets, much like Family sims would roll wants for marriage, and will also want their pets to have babies. They fear pets dying, running away or being removed, and will even roll wants to become werewolves and fear the cure. They don't want to become vampires, and may roll wants and fears of becoming plantsims. They fear alien abductions. Other wants and fears would be Popularity and Family-related.
* Monster - These sims are fascinated with vampires, werewolves, ghosts and zombies. Their wants include of course seeing ghosts, becoming vampires and/or werewolves, and making or having other sims become zombies. They may roll wants to meet aliens but might get a bad memory from fulfilling that want. Monster sims also might be interested but rather iffy about witches. Other wants will be Romance and Fortune-related.
* Light Magic - They are fascinated by witches(good or evil, despite the term 'light magic') and plantsims, and roll wants related to those lifestates along with some Family/Fortune wants, while they're iffy about werewolves and not interested in vampires, ghosts or zombies. They fear being abducted.
* Dark Magic - These sims are into witches as well(good or evil), but not into plantsims. They will also roll wants to become vampires or make zombies, see a ghost or meet aliens, but may roll wants and fears of becoming werewolves since the vampire/werewolf hybrid state is rather hazardous. They will roll Pleasure and Fortune wants, and possibly some Family wants as well.

Those wouldn't be called aspirations, but probably traits(?). Aspirations take a more general view than what you have suggested. For example, Fortune sims want to have top businesses, become gold diggers, marry rich sims, earn lots of money, buy everything, but still sometimes have a want to have a baby.
For the one you suggested, They can combine only the gardening and arts and crafts into a new aspiration, called Crafts, which was originally removed from the beginning. However, in Sims 2 Pets Console version, there is a Creativity Aspiration.

Well, a trait system would be nice, since it's rather annoying to have the Knowledge aspiration be a monster catch-all. And plantsims and witches tend to be fairly benign(unless evil, and even then, the evil witches can be good friends with mundanes), so I think other aspirations shouldn't be afraid of becoming certain creatures if the pros outweigh the cons.
What I like about Sims 3 Late Night, is that there are no 'fears' of becoming vampires, but rather, these sims get a negative buff until they are friends with strange vampires, and get positive buffs after turning. The only sad part is, random neighbours can be vampires and are often in danger of dying from thirst. I was playing it at a friend's house, and a friend of one of my vampire sims died that way. It was a shame too, because they were getting to be good friends.

I would've liked to see the Power aspiration finished. With combos of Knowledge and Fortune, because as the saying goes, knowledge is power. But so is owning a chain of successful businesses. And powerful sims should want to become witches, with the ability to control other sims and their surroundings, but they should fear becoming vampires because of the daytime vulnerability, and werewolves because of the loss of control.

I think Power sims would likely want to become vampires or werewolves because vampires can live forever and werewolves can beat up burglars and get their stuff back.

I think Power sims would likely want to become vampires or werewolves because vampires can live forever and werewolves can beat up burglars and get their stuff back.
I dunno about vampires, immortality would be cool and powerful, but I really can't see a Fortune sim wanting that if it would mean risking their life to go to work. Money is more important. But I guess if they owned their own businesses and set their own hours, they might want it. I can't see Power sims wanting to be werewolves though, the ability to beat up burglars can't be worth the personality change. Same with zombies, immortality might be nice, but again there's the personality change, plus a loss of skills.
They might like to be plantsims though. No personality change, no skill change except a gold gardening badge, and dead easy to keep motives up.

Ah, but it's just the child and teen stages missing. I assume only adults roll wants to be plantsims as it's usually a knowledge want, and you choose aspirations as teens but there's no way for teens to become plantsims, so an adult who becomes a plantsim wouldn't have a shorter life.
Their children on the other hand... I wish there was a plantsim cure toddlers could drink so they could be children and teens. I know can be done with hacks, but a potions just feels less cheaty.

I think there's a mod that allows children, teens and young adults to become plantisms. And in one hood I played, there were a few dormies who were afraid of becoming plantsims, despite being young adults and supposedly incapable of having that happen.
Then again, it would be hilarious if Ashley Pitts were to become a plantsim before graduating, and spawning a bunch of grouchy plantbrats. It would make the hood a lot more fun... and on edge if the pollen cloud prank turned other sims into plantsims.

I always wanted a Baby Stuff Pack! One that not only adds stuff, but features. Baby clothes, a stroller, car seat, more cribs, baby toys, baby swing.
A baby swing and another baby toy item was going to originally be included with Apartment Life, but was taken out last minute and sold - on the now closed - TS2 Store. However, if you look around this (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=13036.0) thread on MATY, someone posted a download link to the items.
On-topic: Superstar, Makin' Magic, and Farming.

I have an idea: why not just make a hospital EP with the baby stuff? Also, I would really like to have surrogate pregnancies, as I really need one right now. Imagine your self having an adult male and elder female couple, the female can't get pregnant and fulfill her baby want, so using a surrogate mother to carry the genetics of both the male and female, i.e., the baby is biologically related to the original parents involved, i.e. the adult male and elder female.
A special medical school can be provided with the EP, maybe a whole new subhood for a medical college.

The pregnancy controller contains only one parent ID. The other parent is assumed to be the pregnant sim.

It's not like adoption's hard anyway. Although I'd like to change it so that if you've ever had a child taken away, you can readopt by learning the Parenting skill that came with FreeTime and doing something like the Headmaster scenario, only with the Social Worker.

We also need a carnival and circus EP. Of course, the circus animals would be treated humanely or animal control would take them away. I mean, children should be able to watch some elephants and other animals doing neat tricks, as well as tightrope walkers and other iconic circus acts - not just some new-agey wannabe-replacement.

For some reason, I like creating descriptions about imaginary EPs with the same structure used by EA.
So here is what I thought, about something for health and hospital.
The Sims 2: Long Life Expansion Pack
OR
The Sims 2: Living Life Expansion Pack
Want some drama for your sims to be in? Want to see what actually happens during labour? Have you ever wanted new age stages? Well now you can with this extraordinary EP. Let your sims face more illnesses. How can you cure them before its too late.
Features:
-New life stages. (You can also choose to include some if you want).
-Hospital Community lot.
-New interactions.
-New tragedies.
-Surrogate pregnancies (for those of you who have infertile, or same-sex couples), infertility and miscarriages (can be set on and off. This is a random system choosing sims that are generated randomly or created in CAS to be randomly fertile or infertile.)
-Extend your life with a secret herb or fruit.
-New objects, including (special) baby stuff.
-New themes. (Spa theme, gym theme, salon theme)
-New Creature: Tooth Fairy! Has any of your children lost a tooth? Place it under a pillow and see if you are lucky...
-New Death Types (Death by labour complications and Death by other NEW illnesses)
-Paramedics are now available for when a sim passes out, they would come right over to splash your sim awake.
-If Pets is installed, your isms can take their pets to a vet.
-If OFB is installed, your sims can start a pharmacy.
-New Career: Pharamcist-ery. :P
-New Major (if Uni is installed): Chemistry
-New special lots: Spa lot. Refresh your sims!

It's your game, just pretend science has already approached so far as to enable male pregnancy but most men are too scared of it

M.M.A.A. - Your idea for an expansion sounds great but there are many things that EAxis couldn't include because it might offend some players.
Like the thing with surrogate mothers or infertility. That's one dangerous path they'd be treading on.
But some of the ideas sound amazing as well. I wish they had expanded on the illnesses in the game.
Colds and the flu are just lame.

Okay, we could probably let go of that. I know IRL, there are issues concerning whether a child should get to meet his or her biological mother. However, in some cases, the surrogate is not the biological mother, they just carry the genes of the couple in question. The second case is what I had in mind.
Is there anything else in the list that I should be aware of that might be offensive?

Not that too. I was thinking about the ghost colour. It should be light pink, to represent motherhood and she will be seen carrying a baby doll around with her.

Ooops, I didn't see the comments for the download.
However, while I haven't actually used this hack yet, I do currently have it in my active Downloads folder, and I haven't seen the issues that one poster describes, which could have been due to any number of things.
If I get a chance in the next few days, I'll test.

The hack works fine. I'm not missing any AL actions/interactions, at least not the ones listed by the commenter, and I've never noticed anything else awry with AL either.
Additionally, while my test plantsim toddler was not able to drink a custom Plantophic-C, one bought from a Garden Club member worked just fine. :) http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb309/Darby39/snapshot_9d29def0_5d29def2.jpg

One that had a buyable book called 'Where Babies Come From' that is recommended for placing in the parents' room. Kids on the lot will be drawn to it if their fun is low, and if they read it, they'll do a few shocked/tantrum animations. And it would have more books to buy other than just the three that came with OFB. Also, new and better-looking wall-coverings and floor tiles. And some hairstyles that looked like the ones that were deleted from the game, like Jill Smith's toddler ponytails. Those looked so cute! Also, a new life state - fairy! Possible NPC - the 'Christmas Fairy' that will sometimes deliver adopted babies(a reference to the book 'Where Did I Come From?').

Like some of the earlier posters to this thread, I would have liked to see one or two adult oriented EPs. By that, I don't at all necessarily mean anything having to do with sex.
Maybe a Big Game Hunting EP?
Right off the bat, that would include two things that would apparently violate EA's current Sims philosophy, namely, the use of firearms and the killing of some wild (albeit delicious) animals.
Deer hunting, for example, could involve a Sim of having the option to first take a hunting course, which would cost some $, in order to increase (but not guarantee) the chance of getting a buck and/or not mistakenly shooting a doe (jail time!), or just coming home empty handed.
Hunting of larger, dangerous game could be done by the Sim alone, at increased risk of being mauled and perhaps killed, or using a hunting guide to greatly lessen that chance.
Of course, in all cases, hunting licenses would have to be purchased and the bigger the game, the more it would cost, with no guarantee of actually getting anything.
There might also be a slight chance of encountering potentially dangerous animals by everyday chance, such as venomous snakes in desert neighborhoods, or the occasional bear or moose in temperate hoods.
Additionally, since these various animals will have been introduced into the game, perhaps zoos and circuses could also be made, although those might need their own "Theme Park" EP.
Associated careers might include Game Warden, Hunting Guide, Zookeeper, Butcher, Taxidermist, various circus occupations, etc.
But, unfortunately, EA has apparently decided they will not diverge from their selected teen market for the Sims franchise, so they won't be getting any more of my money.

M.M.A.A, I like a lot of your ideas. I have so many things I would add it would take five posts. This is what I would add just for the babies.
Sims 2 Life Stages EP
New baby Interactions and objects:
-Teens and up can now feed a baby sitting down.
-The baby can be given a rattle which it will shake and chew which will go towards mechanical skill and tinkering enthusiasm.
-The play mat from the store is back! In the EP where it should have been. Play goes towards logic skill and science enthusiasm.
-The bouncer chair from the store is back! In the EP where it should have been. Play goes towards creativity skill and music and dance enthusiasm.
-Lying on the new floor mat baby can learn to roll over which will go towards body skill and gain fitness enthusiasm.
-Children can talk and play with the baby while it is on the play mat or in a parents arms. Children may hand the baby a rattle.
-Toddlers may come and poke the baby on the mat as well as talk to them if they have learnt to talk.
-Parents can hand the baby to any relative who is visiting.
-Parents can sit down while cuddling a baby and continue to hold them in a cuddle position. (short cuddle and long cuddle)
-Babies can have clothes changed at the change table. Choose from a white, yellow, mint, blue or pink sleeper.
-New pram item! Put your baby in the pram and walk to a community lot. Other sims may come over to look at your baby and congratulate you on your new addition- not all the time though as we know that can get annoying.
-Sims are now smarter about nappy changes and will no longer feed a baby who is in obvious need of a change. Visitors will hand the baby back to the parent if it needs changing and all will be smart enough to let a tired baby sleep.
-new fold down wall change table for community lots or for those short on space.
-New community lots ‘Adventure park’ with full amenities for parents taking a baby or a toddler for the day out. ‘Whiskers Day Care’ where a new NPC will take care of your baby/toddler for a fee. This may of course also be bought and run as an OFB day care business by a playable.

One that gave more of a variety of birds, and smaller ones. I was listening to the Seasons opening theme(since I did a splash theme swap and now the startup screen plays that instead of the Apartment Life theme) and imagined a 'create-a-bird' screen where you could choose different types of domestic bird, like large parrots, or smaller budgies and lovebirds, more realistic cockatoos, and cockatiels. The cockatiels, for example, would do things like the 'pretty bird' whistle or peck at the perch if they're male, or would hiss and squawk if you choose to make them aggressive. And the male canaries would sing. The macaws and larger cockatoos would learn simlish but they'd also chew on the furniture, as would the lovebirds, cockatiels, conures, etc.

Not EPs, but I think it would have been cool (and still would be) to have expansions/SPs for different EPs - ie a Uni one that added new majors and new YA clothes, college objects and of course the traditional [in all SPs and EPs] new floors/walls. Maybe one for NL with new venues and cars, one for OFB with new businesses, Pets with new kinds of pets, Seasons with more fish and more produce-growing plants/trees. Not sure for the other EPs, but you can pretty much go with it.

I would love to see the Curious Brothers in the Ghost Hunter Profession (one of the Professions that came with the Sims 3 Ambitions, but being EA they royally screwed it up with a recent patch).
That said, anyone who has ever played an Ambitions Profession can tell you, Rabbithole jobs aren't always a bad thing. Sim AI being what it is, they rather goof off than do their job, and the player has to stay on their butt every moment or they will go play chess instead of doing their job.

I would have liked a futuristic one for Sims 2. It made me a bit envious when Sims 3 got one! A neighborhood would be a planet or some sort of outpost.
Ditto for the 60s/70s/80s SP. In Sims 2, it could become an EP. Pick a decade, pick a location (Disco City, GoGo Town, Gnarlyville ... or perhaps some MUCH better town names!) ... or each decade could have been a sort of mini-EP. And since Sims 2 doesn't have the rabbitholes, you could have had a bit of fun. For instance, a creator on another Sims board actually made a whole bunch of houses based on 60's houses, and other creators made various 60's fashions and decor. You could have had a nod to British rock, Carnaby Street, Woodstock (Simstock, of course!), etc.
An EP with the hospital and school actually in it would have been nice. A fantasy one would have been interesting as well.
Oh, and most of all, the Urbz for Sims 2!

Another SP that would be cool would be like the one for Sims 3 with stuff from 70s/80s/90s - also add 50s and 60s. Also, have at least half the everyday clothes be SEPARATES I really, really HATE full outfit everyday clothes unless it's something that IRL would be one piece.

The fantasy/monster stuff has never really appealed to me in the game. What is the point in having a werewolf, witch, zombie or vampire that nobody is afraid of?
I mean really, you're walking with your date out of a restaurant and some green woman lands her broom right in front of you? What would you do? Flip-out? Or go over for a pleasant chat as if this creature from the sky was a long-lost cousin? Same thing goes for the green children produced by alien abductions. Everyone seems to accept them as perfectly normal, which kind of takes the whole point away of having them in the game in the first place. If there was at least some degree of social stigma attached to being an other-world being, where they all sort of had to band together with their own kind against the regular muggle-type sims, then it would be more exciting. (Kind of mean in a way, though: I've had alien kids I was very attached to. lol But over all, it would be more realistic to at least see sims have SOME kind of reaction to monsters in their midst.)
