Custom Sheet Music?

I have searched near and far, but did not find anything about it.

Is it possible to create custom sheet music out of real songs? Has anybody done it yet? Every other creative area in the game is very much customizable, but i have not found anything that changes the same old tired songs you can play...

I am sorry, if this is in the wrong place, i think it was Ambitions that introduced sheet music (if i am wrong, please move this thread to the appropriate forum).

Just thought I would give you some hope that it can be done, but I'm no creator so hopefully someone can help you out with the actual process. *Feels useless* :jest:

Those are just decorative pieces - I think osanomina means new songs for your sims to actually play in-game, which I've never seen done.

HystericalParoxysm-san is right, i was looking for new songs that the sims actually could play... it seems it should be possible since we can make the radio play custom songs, so there already is the ability to have "new" mp3 play. just to have sims learn it would be cool.

The radio can play new songs because EA programmed it that way. The game recognizes the mp3's. The songs that a Sim plays on the other hand, are in a custom format specially designed for Sims 3. While it's possible to extract the songs, no progress has been made in getting new songs, music or sound effects into the game.

Yes, i of course know about customs songs via the radio, but the sheet music really gets old after a while. I wonder why that is so complicated. I have seen a lot of custom music for other games that have this feature, like Guitar Hero and the like...

Wouldn't it be so cool to have our sims play Stairway to Heaven, or the solo from November Rain? How about the drum solo from Wipeout, or the piano from well anything by Billy Joel really. Can't think of a Bass example, but you get my point ;)
