Hello!

Yesterday I downloaded the amazing "Old Town & Downtown" neighborhood which is of course based on The Sims 1. It's a pretty new one (released in January) so maybe some people don't know about it: http://kalisasims.tumblr.com/post/1...owntown-for-ts2

It came with decorations and lots of houses already, so I had to place the folder into the "neighborhood" one, not in SC4 Terrains.
Then I noticed that there is still room for more. You additionally could fit the Superstar and Makin Magic towns in there, even the vacation area would be possible with some tricks (but it would be useless since it has no real function then).

So I wanted to take a look at the SC4 terrain to edit it a bit for my personal interest (don't want to share it!). But since the neighborhood is located in "neighborhoods", I can't find the SimCity 4 file anywhere. Is there a way to access it? Or is the only way to get the file asking the author?

Mootilda looked at this issue when she was making the Hood Replacer programme and concluded it wasn't possible to extract a readable SC4 file from TS2. It's something to do with incompatible file formats - that is to say the TS2 version of the file format can't be read by SC4 because of some sort of compression I think or conversion of measurements. I'd have to find Moo's original comments to be sure.

You can use Mootilda's Hood Replacer program and get a new empty hood with it.
