This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default CD Version...
I had The Sims 2 Double Deluxe installed on my old computer with all the expansion packs, and it would always use the Double Deluxe CD to play the game. Now on my new computer, it wants me to use my Best of Business collection CD instead. Is there any way to change the CD used by the game? Like I said, my old computer would always use the Double Deluxe CD, even with expansion packs installed.

And one other thing, on my old computer the splash screen always said "Double Deluxe", while now it always says "Mansion and Garden". I'm fairly certain this is related to the CD version...

Anyways, thanks in advance.

If you have Mansion and Garden either stand alone or with Fun with Pets then that is the one you should have been using all this time.

So to me you have had a bad install.

All your stand alone EP's need to be patch.

You could try and install DD and all stand alone EP/SP you have and patch as you go then install UNI. Life, Best of Business and then Fun with Pets.

You only list Best of Business do you have the other 2 tri packs also if not say so.

I would suspect your Store Edition version. The Store Edition that came with DD was probably upgraded automatically by EA on your old computer, but is only available in Fun with Pets now. If you don't have the right version, you won't be able to play your old neighborhoods.

Ok, I figured it out. When installing expansion packs, deselect "Sims 2 Store Edition" on the expansion pack you're installing. Only install Store Edition from the base game's CD, and you can use the original Double Deluxe CD just fine.
