Default Under 20k Starter Mobile Homes, 1, 2 and 3 Bedrooms
First up is a 3 bedroom 1 bath Mobile Home from the 1970's.

Price is 19,905. Furnished for a couple to start out.

As a child I lived in one like this but this base game model is as close to the real one as I can get.

Will upload pics and lots for both the 1 and 2 bedroom models soon. Done.

For my money, I think it's a bit long. One of the pleasures of mobile home type lots for me is the challenge of living in a cramped space. I'd make all of those rooms at least one space narrower and drop the width from 6 tiles to 5.

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.
I'm here on tumblr and my site, tflc

These are base on real life models and the 3 bedroom model was 82' long and 16' wide and to capture the real life space they had this is what I come up with.

Marka - what is the intent for these files? To get feedback? If you want to share permanently it is better to upload them

@leefish Yes to get feedback and if there is no major problem then I will upload them.

I think they are finished but feedback on it may come up with a problem.

It is always wise to get someone with different habits to playtest. Excuse me for not offering - I've got rather a lot on my simming plate right now.
They look pretty good to me. The mods tend to like more landscaping than that, don't they? You can't add too much without bumping the price over $20K, though, which removes a lot of the point. Maybe a nice lawn flamingo or two, for that trailer park feel, would satisfy them?

Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.

You could also try using some terrain paints. There's a light green one with white flowers.

My 1 main concern is the bathroom door and if there is a problem with that 1 tile wall like that.

I was thinking on at least 1 more tree and some terrain paint for all 3 before upload.

Add some pics for changes I have done.

The 2 bedroom one I have added 1 more tree in the back and some terrain paint. Just under 20k to keep it as a starter.
The 1 bedroom I was able to add 2 trees and bushes along with terrain paint. A little over 19k now.

On the first one I would enlarge the front porch. I would remove the one tile wall.

@joandsarah77 Thank you for looking, I was thinking on removing the one tile wall but I will not be able to enlarge the front porch and keep it under 20k unless I remove some of the flowers.

Perhaps I am not looking correctly but the back deck looks larger, I would swap them around, larger at the front, smaller at the back. I think the paper person will walk back and forth on that small front porch.

The back one's are 2x2 and the front one's are 3x3 on the 3 bedroom and both are 2x3 for the other 2.

I will go and see if I can keep it under 20k if I add to it or not.

2 bedroom one is now 19,996, Back is 2x3 front is 3x4.
1 bedroom is 19,339. Back is 2x2 front is 2x4.

The new version looks fine to me.
Maybe you could add a light-brown terrain paint under the trailer house. That would look more natural.

Maybe also a small awning over the front porch would look cute. And it would protect the front porch from the rain.

And could you also take pictures of the updated interior? I assume you changed the interior, didn't you?
I've playtested one of your trailer house and there were no lights. But no other issues were found.

Check for lights, phone and smoke detector. Burglar alarm is nice to have as well. Swapping out expensive plants like tress for cheaper plants or outdoor items is one way of being able to afford those items.

I like the look of these. Very realistic. I like the ability to expand on these as the Sim earns more money. I also like the retro tone to these. I certainly remember these. Hay-ell, I still see these when I travel throughout the US.

But the roof needs just a little something. Most mobile homes I've seen, both in floor plans or in real life, have some sort of low roof or at least some sort of more-defined edging. For instance:

http://www.realtor.com/realestatean...13_M18707-36267

I see you do have an edging, though, and you are probably trying to stick with no CC, so this may not be feasible.

Sorry. I know I'm a rank beginner. I'll shut up now.

Thanks to ALL free-site creators, admins and mods.

Yes @gazania there is no way to have them look like real life without CC and I try not to have any needed for my uploads.

This is another thing EA could have done and brought in a EP for mobile homes with all kinds of new siding and trimmings for them.

I will go in 1 more time to make sure I have all lights and alarms in and then will upload them.

I think they are nice, Marka - I wanted to point out that I actually like the long one as well. In SA, of course, caravan camping is very popular for people going on holidays, and I've seen some extremely long ones.

To keep the 3 br one below 20k I had to remove most of the flowers so I could put lights and alarms in.

Personally, I do not think flowers are needed - the tree, yes, shade is essential. Perhaps some ground cover to make it look as if the home is parked on firmer ground than the grass.

And the path to the stairs from the road - a dirt (or sand, if close to the beach) would imo be more natural - after all, one may want to move the thing (in RL definitely) when seasons change.

I have a vision of a vacation hood here with mobile homes close to the beach

@Justpetro I had to set the record straight on US Mobile Homes (which these are based on), they are big and way to heavy to move very often unlike travel trailers.

Mobile Hoods in the US are real homes that you can put anywhere you have money to place them at and they are normally placed on a permanent foundation with the axles removed.

I would say that about 95% of them once they are set up will never move again.

In some states they are required to strap them down because the wind from major storms can tip them over.

Thank you, Marka I guess I was thinking of the big moto mobiles we have here - some pensioners buy those and then go travelling, parking it at a different camp every two to three months. Yet my mind was probably on those because somebody I know is buying one - I actually know exactly what type of homes you have here.

So my comment is then totally invalid!
