Request/WCIF/Mod Suggestions (See Post for details)
I have Greek foods, I also have Spring recipe mods. I love them, so I want to put it out there already. I was wondering if mods exist that WERE NOT objects but ACTUAL recipes/cookable foods and ingredients and recipes that could be CHristmas themed or Halloween themed, or just new foods for sims. Even things with basic ingredients like bread, milk, flour and corresponding recipes would be incredible. I don't like object foods because they tend to clutter the buy section and I don't want to have to keep going into buy mode just to access a cool food for my sims to eat. Also I want to suggest that if any modder that is still around wants new ideas, how about recipes for food and ingredients surrounding things like Christmas and Halloween? With Seasons, I felt disappointed that the amount of food added wasn't really tailored too much towards like, special holidays or anything like The Sims 2 Holiday Stuff was. :/

As an off comment to end this with... where has the Sims 3 Modders community gone? All the popular mods are now not being updated and no new mods are being created and now when searching, finding any sims 3 content is like needles in a haystack. I know sims 4 came out and all but there is still a large number of dedicated sims 3 simmers around so its kind of disappointing to see that while a Sims 3 2 and 3 community is still out there, many people have stopped supporting them or supplying them with new CC or updating. Sims 1 is now almost non existent, when sims 3 came out all the good sites for sims 2 have disappeared. It's just sad to see that people just leave as soon as something 'new' comes out.

Heh. I have no answer for your questions. I assume you have Ingredients Overhaul? http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=548787. That adds a bunch of ingredients to existing recipes to make them more realistic, but does not add any new recipes.

I've been trying to sort through the thread on creating new recipes found here: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=474083. My sensibilities are greatly offended that we have France AND snails in World Adventures, but no escargot.

FWIW, I decided to start learning to create content for TS3 now, when almost everyone is gone, because I'm just like that I guess. Sadly, I am but a learner, so I can't help much.

Just in case we qualify for the above-mentioned category, development of NRaas mods will resume once our lead developer returns from "approved" personal leave. And we do currently have eight existing mod updates in beta testing.

Heh. It's good to know that Chain's coming back . There are also several Sims 3 modders who still seem to be submitting content here, so it's not as bleak as all that.

Oh excellent! I think everyone would have heart attacks if NRaas wasn't continuing at all given out of many of the modders in the community, NRaas has been a huge influence behind many of the mods that exist. :D

Well, a lot of mods aren't being updated because there is no need to, what with the patches being over and done. The majority of mods out there modify EA-programmed game behavior, like "no autonomous x" or "lower/higher levels of x". The (fewer) mods that introduce new game content have a higher chance of being updated/expanded on, provided the creators (or other modders) are willing to.

If you want, you can suggest to icemunmun to create some Christmas/Halloweed themed recipes, maybe he/she will like the idea
(Right now, the only themed recipe that comes to mind is the pumpkin pie, and maybe you can disguise the Angel Food Cake as a wintery cake?)
