Default The Sims 3 Store Worlds- Which one is the best?
Hiya! I'm looking for the best EA store worlds to buy on Origin. I'm leaning towards Dragon Valley or Midnight Hallow, because of the mystical air. Or Lucky Palms. Which one do you prefer, out of all of them?

It really boils down to game play style. If you prefer the mystical/medieval feel, then Dragon Valley is probably your best bet. Midnight Hollow is a really dark world and feels one note. However, it adds the Savvy Seller Collection that finally adds some OFB type play, and I use this set in virtually every game I play. I don't believe this is available separately, either.

If you don't take premium content into account that's included with each world, my favorite store world is Lucky Palms. I'm partial to the desert appearance, and tend to play realistic/modern games. It also has quite a bit of room for expansion.

I love this question.

Midnight Hollow was to me a dissapointment, I know the world is supposed to be dark and gothic but it's just simply too dark, I can't see a darn thing. Using lightning mods makes it better but I quickly grow tired of it.
There are so many Store worlds that I love so just picking one is very hard, but I must say that Sunlit Tides is the best one - the world offers something that no other world has ever done and first time I played it I felt like I had just installed a new mini EP. It's also quite interesting to look at during winter.
It is visually amazing and I feel that the houses and community lots are all built with passion and inspiration as well as the rabbit holes - they are all uniqe and nice to look at.

You won't be dissapointed buying Lucky Palms or Roaring Heights. Dragon Valley has a high standard/quality but the whole theme of the world is a bit boring to me and I grew tired of it fast.

Midnight Hollow is my personal preferred one. I quite like the gothic style of it, and I get a massive girl boner when the sky turns red.

Lunar lakes and sunlit tides were my absolute favorites.

Definitely Midnight Hollow and Dragon Valley. Like Bloodiedhell said, I love the gothic feel and the general darkness of Midnight Hollow, and the sky is just so damn awesome The world is even better when filled with vampires and other supernaturals I also love Dragon Valley for the Celtic decor and general Celtic-inspired stuff - like the stone circles and the elven Sims.

Tough choice, I like all three of them very much and would add Roaring Heights, too.
Lucky Palms is the easiest if you want to expand, because of the sheer amount of empty lots and could become a second Starlight Shores or Bridgeport.
Midnight Hollow is a matter of taste. I found the Savvy Seller items pointless and have removed them all from my MH game. But you really have to enjoy CASt if you play Midnight Hollow, because you'll need it. The light is actually very bright and cold, so every colour that is not toned down and darkened will stick out like a neon t-shirt in black light. I love Midnight Hollow especially for that. You can really play with colours a lot for spectacular effects. It's also a town that can easily be turned into a fim noir environment and rid it of all that techno goth stuff.
Dragon Valley is very mellow, with earthy, humid tones and I ususally play it when I need a lot of atmosphere.
Roaring Height is simply beautiful and feels like a mixture between 1940s Hollywood movies and Bioshock's Rapture before the downfall.

Ok, judging from the amount I wrote on just one town I guess my recommendation would be Midnight Hollow. But as I said, don't get it if you don't want to spend a lot of your time in CASt.

Midnight Hollow is really well done if you like playing on a Tim Burton set, but for me, it had limited replayability. Really well done for what it was, but I would think carefully if you want a new world for lots of future games. If you like a lot of Goth, MH is definitely the way to go. But more traditional sims in that world really stick out like tourists, so it really depends on your personal play style. I never got Dragon Valley as it wasn't my type of play, so I cannot comment on how it compares, although I did end up with the archery set and violin during some Store promo sale a while back which were nice.

My two faves from the Store are Lucky Palms and Roaring Heights. I think they are the best replayable worlds EA has offered, with some useful architectural content, nice map layouts, and surprisingly few routing issues, which is remarkable when talking about EA in and of itself.

Another vote (or two) for Lucky Palms or Roaring Heights. I think they're the most playable worlds and the most beautiful. I probably slightly prefer LP as I find it's perfect for incorporating other EPs such as Showtime or Island Paradise as there's a lovely pier/dock already built and plenty of empty lots. I've turned mine into a Vegas-style travel destination with casino hotels, performance venues and

I think one might need a better graphics card than I have to enjoy Midnight Hollow - I think it's a lovely town, but I found it too dark to play on my not particularly high spec laptop, even with a lighting mod. It looked stunning once covered with snow...

I admire Midnight Hollow like most here seem to, but I can't really play there for long either. Mostly it's the damn mountains in my way (is there a camera mod to help that significantly? That's about the only type of mod for this game I've never looked into).

I'm partial to Aurora Skies. I know the snow looks absolutely terrible there, and I know there are custom worlds that succeeded better at what they were trying to do with AS. But I like the premades there a bit more than in other EA worlds, the houses are simple and pleasing, and the terrain looks better ingame than it does in pictures. If I'm going to use a store world for anything long-term, it's pretty much a coin toss between Aurora Skies and Lucky Palms.

I love Riverview, Lucky Palms, Sunlit Tides, Monte Vista and Roaring Heights. I guess my favorite is Sunlit Tides. It's so detailed and beautiful, and different from other worlds.

Riverview is the best world, possibly even greater than all of the base game and EP worlds too. The layout is perfect, nice variety of areas and subdivisions and there's plenty of room for expansion. It's one of the better looking worlds with Seasons too. The only downside is that it doesn't have a beach, or anywhere where a beach could realistically be placed.

Excluding that, um, I'm not sure. Was never too keen on any of them really. Lucky Palms is decent, I suppose. Roaring Heights is okay too (ignoring the fact that its theme is all over the place) but you need to put some work in since some of the default lots are just plain bizarre. I like Lunar Lakes, but it's entirely focused around the "alien world colony" theme. So it's a love it or hate it sort of world depending on whether you enjoy that sort of thing.

Dragon Valley is possibly the prettiest world. The theme doesn't fit in terribly well with TS3 though, so personally I find it too jarring to play. Never liked Midnight Hollow at all. Too dark, mountains everywhere and comes with that worthless Savvy Seller collection to boot. Blergh.

Yeah, but gambling is only included in the separate venue that comes with the Gold version.

Roaring Heights is my fav. Roaring Heights reminds me a lot of Miami, it's big, has a lot of space to place new lots, very pleasing to the eyes, the premium content is useful and works properly, and the architecture of the houses remind me a lot of 50s-60s houses.

Lucky Palms. What happens in Sim Vegas...

Hands down, my favorite is Riverview. I like how the downtown area is set up, and the lots aren't so huge that it lags. It's one of those worlds you can customize a great deal.

That being said, I love Sunlit Tides because the scenery and views are amazing. It's Isla Paradiso without the massive lag. Unfortunately, I don't play in it much because it's too large a world for me, plus I get bored with it.
