In all honesty, I kinda want the sims franchise to have competition; have a completely new game by a different developer. I've loved the sims and have played sims 1 through 4 for over ten years. EA needs a little "friendly" competition. Maybe with competition they'll be like, "Oh snap! If we don't kick it into gear, this new company will dominate the simulation franchise!" (Please dominate EA new company, mwahaha!) I want someone to create this new and awesome simulation game with HEART and SOUL. I want them to actually LISTEN and CONNECT with fans. EA, imo can no longer be trusted. Fearing the worse, let's hope someone can create this new game, this new franchise for us to enjoy. If I had the money, resources and knowledge I would totally design a game similar to the sims but better, mainly with more gamplay elements. EA cannot be trusted and my patients with them has ran dry just like their sincerity and sanity.

If there will be a Sims 5 I'd like to see:

.The color wheel back.

.Toddlers, pools and cars.

.Height slider.

.More freedom in the Create a Sim mode. Making funny looking Sims without having to download any game mod.

.The option to gender bend your characters. All clothes, shoes, hair etc. can be used for both genders. More freedom more fun!

. Fantasy and Anthro game Expansions and Stuffs Packs.

.More Animals. Farm and Zoo life.

I never bought Sims3 and I don't plan on buyin Sims4 any time soon either and as for a Sims5, well I honestly don't see that happening either. Three reasons:
1) System requirements would mean a new computer
2) For Sims3, not sure on Sims4, I didn't like how vastly they changed the look of the Sims themselves. Too cartoonish.
3) No money to buy said needed new computer nor the money to buy all the EP's and SP's they put out.

However with that bein said, I do agree with some of what was said in that the developers really need to get out from the coding box and PLAY the game they create to see how the game really works and/ or should work. Spend hours, days playing, really get into it like some of the fans do. I also agree, as someone suggested, that they need to come to the various community forums, they don't have to talk, but at least read and see what we're saying about the game - what we feel it needs or doesn't need, what we feel would make it better by addin X or takin X away. In doin that, then maybe, just maybe, they might get a real sense of what we, the fans, want in our game and thus make a truly remarkable game.

I have tried a few times to play my Sims2 vanilla. It doesn't take long before I get tired of all the annoying habits (What's this?, Oh look it's snowing), the lack of decent hair styles (seriously, seems they have more hairs with hats or such than without. Hats and headbands should be a separate tab like jewelry and glasses), lack of good looking clothing (even paperdolls have better looking clothes), and furniture that actually matches before I run off to get the things that players made to fix all the issues that the designers/ programmers/ whoever they want to blame forced on us and called it good.

If, and that is a big two letter word, if EA was to actually create a good decent playable game with some of the aforementioned suggestions by the players, I might then be willing to look at buying the game (and computer). Do I think it's gonna happen? No, but we can dream and hope can't we

I feel like with all the cloud stuff we have going on now, that they could make a massive world that wouldn't take up all your computers space. It could all be stored online and your computer just takes what it needs as you play, or, if you don't want to be online the whole time, your computer could keep a backup of all the files and it just uses loading screens like on TS2 and TS4. This way you could have open neighborhood and map of a big ass world kind of like an MMO but without the multiplayer. Although that could still be an option for people that want it, I don't, but I don't like people in general.

This is my other idea. Everyone always wants a height slider that works like the weight and muscle sliders. They've always said its impossible to include because they have to rework all of the animations, but it could totally work. All they have to do is make preset heights instead of having a slider, like the foundations. You would have the normal height, then one a bit taller than that, and another above that and the same for the shorter, having 5 or 7 heights for each age group (excluding babies and toddlers). Then they just make the animations for those separate heights. Heck, they can just have 3 for each age group and I'd be happy.

The problem with a cloud storage game is what happens if the servers go down or EA takes down the cloud storage after poor sales.

I certainly agree TS1 to TS2 was an amazing transisition, and not talking about the 2.5D to 3D, which obviously was the most noticable change, but the other new features was nearly endless, this should of been called TS4, and not TS2.

1. Ability the change facial appearance
2. Customiation of Hair, Make-up, including Face Paint.
3. Accessorys you can wear on top.
4. Eye Dropper Tool
5. Shift key usage for quick paint and customation.
6. Seperate Tops and Bottom choices
7. Bumpmapping
8. Ability to communicate and become friends with NPCs.
9. Memories
10. Customiable TV Stations and channels.
11. Movie Making Tools.
12. Roaming free 3D Neighborhood view.
13. Terrain Paint
14. Reward Items
15. Lifetime goals.
16. Aging
17. 3 New life Stages besides just child and adult.
18. Ability to create/sort Collections in the Buy/Build Modes
19. Ability to build mode than 2 storeys High...

Can go and on, no wonder why that game never got boring...

Ok TS3 offered the seamless real time neighborhood, but only with a few other minor extra details, but TS4?, ok, only a few more extra multi-tasking abilities,, I mean c'mon, if there's got to be a TS5, EA/Maxis need to write down at least 50 new ideas on paper, before they even start with the first code, but obviously it's too late again, they would of already started it.

No one ever talks about what was lost from TS1 to TS2. With the emphasis on genetics, inheritance, and the rewards system, play shifted from the here and now to planning for future generations. That was great in so many ways, but it also took something basic away from the game. Much of the humor was also lost. You never saw a tragic clown in TS2, for instance, and abductions were such serious things. And what happened to the crank phone calls? By comparison, Sims in S2 are far less funny and far more serious than in S1. Also, many of the wonderfully fun objects were never repeated in Sims 2.

I don't have any ideas for TS5. Most of what people propose is a variation on what's come before. I was excited about TS4 because it looked to be different. I think it could have been more different. I see people asking for things that are easier, take away this restriction or that restriction. I like the restrictions, I think the strategy required in TS1 in order to get through a day or make a family close or anything was essential to the enjoyment of the game. Make it harder!

Now, if TS5 were in 3D, I'd sit up and listen....

Maybe they can pair up with Microsoft again like with Titanfall for the XBoxOne (OK didn't go quite as well as either party hoped, but it did establish a working relationship) and they could generate a version of TS5 for the new HoloLens system MS is pushing with Win 10! Think about it. Project a sim into your actual room. Watch them cook a waffle on your real stove. Wonder if that fire is just an optical game effect, or if the damned sim really did set fire to your kitchen................................

How cool would that be?

HoloLens is kind of like a sims in itself. You could look at your new empty house and digitally paint the walls, put up paintings and visualize everything, change the wood color. Then find furniture and see how they'll place and what not.
Wanna play soccer? Download the app and play virtual soccer in your living room, can't guarantee people won't look at you crazy if you have guests over, not to mention if you kick the wrong way and knock out grandma. I could imagine a skype evolutionizing into a system where you can see a full body hologram of your friends and video chat with them as if they're there in person.

Take GTA V:
- Implement the ability to create "sims" and buildings;
- Add interactions;
- Add age groups and gradual aging;
- Add create-a-style;
- Add enterable & fully functional restaurants, police stations, hospitals, schools, colleges, offices, shops, supermarkets, ect;
- Keep the game M-rated....

EA, it would sell like hot buns...

Yeah...I'd recommend not visiting the youtube comments of the HoloLens video, let's just say that there's gonna be some *ehem* interesting application developments underway regarding anime...simulation.

For The Sims 5, it needs an extremely realistic and huge open world. By realistic I mean actual traffic mechanics, stoplights, parking, rush hour maybe, etc. Also this open world needs to include no rabbit holes, replaced by actual work and school lots. With this big of a world, we would need better time mechanics also so it doesn't take all day to get across town. At least when Sims are traveling, the clock goes by at a realistic pace, like 1 minute equals 30 seconds instead of 1 second (can be sped up but doesn't take all day). By big I don't mean like real life, but like GTA where it feels like a real city (not a town) even though its nowhere near the size of a real city. I think the Sims should change emotions less often and in a more realistic way, and the game should include Cast. Really, The Sims 5 should be The Sims 3 but have more to do in the base game and have better Sims, and of course a way better engine that can actually handle the open world.

But really, I would never buy this game. I don't want to play The Sims my entire life. I really just want to see it happen, it would be amazing.

It seems like The Sims 5 should be GTA, Sim City, and all the sims games wrapped up into one huge simulation game. Some people want their sims to carry around weapons and shoot their neighbors *cough, cough; raises hand.* Some want to regulate their neighborhoods with taxes and laws and have varies loans for you sims to pay just like in real life (cause they need to suffer too). And some want enhanced versions of the later games.

If, not just EA, but any game developer were to create a game like this, it would be almost impossible; Impossible as in it would probably be very difficult to pull off with budgeting, technology, etc. But as an optimist, I feel someone out there can pull this off and nothing really is impossible. This would be the best game I would ever play!

But I don't know cause a game like this is just like...wow. I don't know what it takes to make a game. I'm not into game developing so yea. All I know is that us simmers can dream and dream big. Maybe we should all get together and vote on what we want in the Sims 5 and cram it up EA's...I mean... politely show them what we want and hope that they'll listen to our ideas. I'm tired of being ignored by EA, I'm tired of this quick cash thing that they're doing, I'm tired of expecting less and less content with each new sims game, I'M TIRED OF IT ALL. Most of all, I'm tired of seeing this beautiful franchise turn into another money grabbing scheme.

Back to the 3D idea for a bit, imagine not big life-size Sims, but little ones, maybe the size of a large chess board pieces or larger, that could play out their drama in front of you. Or, what about portable Sims or interactive ones that asked how you were doing or related to your life in some way?

When I was a child, I imagined one of those books where the image pops up as you open the pages, but in three dimensions. I imagined a toy kitchen in my book, where you could pull open a drawer and see the contents. That would be a cool experience, it would almost feel tactile.

Addicted to The Sims since 2000.

I hope so, but it's still wishful thinking. As I said before, The Sims will not be great again while E.A. has the rights to it. Our best hope is that E.A. sells the game to another company. But, that's about as likely as me becoming the Queen of the United Kingdom.

I have a pipe dream of the fans raising enough money on Kickstarter to buy the rights and then reselling them to a decent firm, like Paradox. But that will never happen because it would be way to hard to raise that much money on crowdfunding.

i expect every BG to progress as every BG as its predecessor like TS1,2 & 3 I get that they rush made this one for builders. I am not mush so a builder as a designer. But this one is sinking fast what i would like to see
1.The awsome things that were in The Sims 1. I could be on this one until 1a un till 1z99-r but i wont point blank this is it bring some things back a big one is Ctrl+S i loved that and never saw it since
2. Some things in The Sims 2 were great just bring them back and make them ooookay
3. Why would you not incorporate things skills traits reward traits and etc from The Sims 3
4 What where you guys think and who was in charge of making items come back i like seeing items that came back in TS2, and 3
5 All those console items and The Sims Stories items what happened to those
6. And please...oh wait this one is the wrong place my bad

There will not be any more The Sims# none thing if these guys do not change
Every time Quake comes out with a new game they bring something back form the old one or Doom or add on an EP
EA does no do that
I think they are going to try to stick with The Sims Freeplay which is harder than The Sims !,2,3 & 4 Medieval and stores combined
Maybe they should seriously consider asking Maxis to come back
