Default Deco Appliances
So, I'm working on an apocalyptic world, currently working on lots. With a LOT of searching, I've found some grungy, broken and old stuff, but the problem is, the sims keep USING it! There's no power or running water in this world, so it makes no sense for them to autonomously bathe, grab some cold cereal with milk or otherwise.

I'm looking for DECO versions of the following - broken, grungy, old, new, modern, whatever is fine, as long as they're deco and don't work:
- Bathtub
- Sink
- Toilet
- Fridge
- Stove
- TV

Small kitchen appliances, lamps, a dishwasher, phones, any other electronics or appliances would also be pretty cool.

If you already found those objects you can simply turn them into decor items.
The only problem is if you mean to redistribute them, but that can be worked around too.

Open the .package of those items with S3PE and extract the OBJK resource into a new package.
Repeat for all items (extract all the OBJK into the same package).
This new package must go into the Mods/Overrides folder.

Now open the new package, right click on each OBJK and select "Edit OBJK",
Put as script string the name of a decor item class (possibly one without the "look at" interaction,
depends on your preference).
An example is "Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.Decorations.Mimics.SculptureKitchenUtensilsCountry".

This way you wont violate the policy of the creators of those items.

You could also place invisible fences around those items to stop them using them

Club Crimsyn's "Silent Hill" deco items are pretty awesome for a post-apocalyptic setting. (Includes dusty bottles, canned goods, rusting phones and broken vending machines.)

Some grungy graffiti that might make your setting look more desolate.

Rusting barrels and overgrown dying grass.

Cyclonesue's broken walls window set is fantastic for making the world look ruined.
