This is great, seriously. Thank you for sharing. Now, I am probably going to go around the house (When I'm cooking) saying:
Go Spogando
>.> This is of course the true translations
But I love the cheer, totally sounds real...Except when they come over and cheer for hours -.-" Watch TV then go back to cheering...

This is awesome, I've always wanted a list of all the sayings but was too lazy to make it myself.

Some of them I kind of figured out myself. But the others I didn't really know. Thanks for posting, I do find this kind of thing interesting.

nice list but,
I miss the phrase for "oh yuck that stinks!" from when a child walks past a baby/toddler with a dirty diaper
I don't know that one well enough to write it down but it should be added
remove me from your history, I'm not interrested in this site anymore

I love these sorts of things!
I'm forever trying to figure out what sims are saying. Sometimes it sounds very close to English (such as a toddler's scream for "Daddyyyyyyyyyyyyy!") but other times we're left only guessing.

The tough part is that different ages use different phrases. Ha, that kinda rhymed!
I don't get why so many Simmers hate Marsha Bruenig. She actually grows up to be quite pretty if you allow her to.

I assume that when a cashier at an OFB business says what sounds to me like "crazy nibblets" they must be saying "thanks for shopping here" or something to that effect.

I've got a freakin' headache going on...but had to add --unless it's already been said --- "Floor. Floor Foeben." When scolding a pet.
Also, "Sperk ! Sperk ! " When instructing your cat to talk.
BTW, thanks muchness for the list !

I always thought that Woofum or Woovem meant pet because whenever the sims talk to their pets they call them Woofum/Woovem.
and Ay ee Tippy! is another of my favorites when Sims are teaching their Sim pets to roll over (if I remember correctly)
As for the Polititian saying Mogey mogey mogey I kind of thought of that like a judge saying Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye in a courtroom, kind of like those judge shows on TV.

I had a sim called Nooboo! :D
One I would like the translation to is 'Glabe vada skijay' (which was a jingle at Studio town in Sims 1, and the sims say it in conversation in Sims 3).
Also, have you ever noticed this?

I know others have attempted to translate Simlish into English. Its tough though, sometimes you can't quite hear the words just right. EA has the simlish lyrics of a few songs that are in the game over at the official Sims 2 site. It would be in the cool stuff section. Since those songs are Simlish translations of real songs anyway, I figure that might help. Oh and don't forget, EA did a Simlish version of Deck the Halls. I believe that would also be in the cool stuff section. It started out like this: Dom bi jow jow hay blee carnips. Or at least I think that's what it sounded like.
I don't get why so many Simmers hate Marsha Bruenig. She actually grows up to be quite pretty if you allow her to.

simlish has come a long way since simcopter
in that game it actually made no sense at all to try and translate
I found this on the sims.wikia
some of the bold parts(below) are mentioned above in 'sounds like' form
this bold stuff is the real writing of the simlish words
--like "arraganda" should be "anaconda" (see below)
the last phrases meaning "good,finished,done"
(my wiches and warlock prefer "Parmeley")
and when playing "cops and robbers" most of my sim-kids say "piu, piu"
the following is from TS3
these were not accompanied by any translation
I also found a link(same site) that helps with finding more possible meanings
or like I could also say, if we are talking simlish songs now try these on for size:
http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Songs_in...#Simlish_Lyrics
they are 4 actual songs translated into simlish and on the game
but I like to know the english for "the nursery rhime" that is in there with my EP/SP set
P.S. the quotes are all from the same page and not all of the page is about the sims(1,2,3) so not everything makes sense
like "....comes with better....." in the second one refers to diff with the "simcopter simlish" that is why I mention it on the top end of this

The Sims 2 The Sims 2 comes with better heard and newer phrases like "e wam". Common phrases are now "daj daj" and "ackabunad." Common greetings include "sule-sule" and "dag dag". When there's a problem, they will say "Shoo Flee" and "anaconda" a lot. When some female Sims walk by another Sim, their greeting will be "Ooh, voodoo!" Sometimes they'll say "Lick a rock!". They reportedly swear sometimes. Much to the amusement of many players, pregnant Sims have been known to shout "WooHoo!" while giving birth. When female elders play at the poker table in Nightlife, they will often say "Texas Goushem" which is probably a reference to Texas HoldEm (a type of poker card game). In the Pets expansion pack, when a Sim is teaching their pet to "Shake", they will say "shurb" repeatedly, as well as when they teach to "Speak", they will say "Sperk". When an object is in their way, females will say " Nib! Frabanage! Haloo! Frinding." or they may say "Oh! Ambloo. Umm...sesaru?" and males will usually say that too except they do not say "haloo". The Marco Polo from Seasons was originally named Timle Tourneau, and you can clearly hear Sims exclaiming "Timle" and "Tourneau" instead of "Marco" and "Polo". Tim LeTourneau is, in fact, one of the staff of EA. When Witches and Warlocks in Apartment Life use the cauldron, they will say the last names of EA staff members, such as Macarevich,Majekodunmi, and Parmeley. |

Sims also shout "Shamo! Jatzkey!" or "Wala!" when they cannot reach a certain area (accompanied by a "no footsteps" speech bubble). |
