I downloaded this and when it scan folder for the sims 3, it says some expansion packs/stuff packs are conflicting with others or there’s objects made by ea creator that are corrupted and I have no mods in my game whatsoever

any time when I'm gonna use this mod checker it show me this " ba dcompression flag......" how can I fix this please let's me knowwww pleaseeeee

Hello! My friend is having a problem with Dashboard; she can't get it to go beyond her Documents folder when trying to chose the folder to scan? Does anyone have a solution to that?

I know this program is a bit old but i had it on my old hard drive and it worked great, I also had the sims 3 pack converter to package files on my old hard drive, I tried downloading both now and they are not files that do anything my computer is prompting me to find a program to run them. Is there anywhere else to download these programs? or are they just lost since they are so old now? I'd really like to know since i did buy sims 4 but I don't care for the closed world and really enjoy being able to take my car out and drive around all over and see the whole world. I'd hate to have to fully change to sims 4 and leave sims 3 behind sooooo much cc would be lost haha!!

Never mind I fixed the issue it appears i had accidently deleted my zip program so I was unable to unzip the file. Thank you for such wonderful programs.

On the top on the left there is a button called ''File'',click on that.A list will appear.Chose ''Scan Folder'',your file directory will appear and you can chose which folder you want to scan.

Have you tried opening it in a compatibility mode?

The program still works but I just need to click on OK like a few times. I know I would probably get no response but I am just curious.

Hi I have the same error I was trying to find any issue here and there but... I'm still confused too haha btw there are people who still play that game today..
I'm going to re-download it and re-try it now
Edit: error still there ... it may have something to do with the two dll files included in the zip but I don't know what to do with them .. (edit: nothing to do with them)
Edit: It seems to be linked with a or some package(s) file' size just try without them if you have some of them that seem too big ..like 1go or more or maybe less

I've noticed that it happens if :A-I have my game open and try to load the program at the same time or I am not too sure about this: B-you have a package that could be for sims 4 or it is corrupted
These are just assumptions.

Is there like a way of knowing exactly what is what and why random things seem to conflict? Like some random object has a conflict with a "cache". If I am not experiencing any issues, should I take heed?
Also, it says I have some corrupted worlds, but I am unsure if it means saves or actual worlds.

I've actually noticed this today (see attached pic). Based on my reading of the .pdf at Simlogical and Crinrict's page on this tool, though, would this qualify as a false positive, since it involves the same piece of CC?

I don't know about any of you guys, but I've had a recurring issue in where I would keep getting the bag compression flag error anytime I try to run this program, and when I tried to look through the forums for a solution, I kept getting met with the tried-and-true "50/50" method. I don't know about the rest of you all, but I hate doing that. Being a mixture of both clever and lazy, I figured out a workaround using the mod conflict detector used for Sims 4 package searching.

Now, the most comprehensive answer I found was from stevset, when they said:

Anyone who is experiencing a "Bad Compression Flag", needs to check their mod setup if they haven't accidentally installed a Sims 4 mod (CC, Mods) within in their Sims 3 mod setup.

S4 *.packages are a different build from S3 *.packages and will stop Dashboard from working properly. Clicking away these error messages won't do as it will skip a chunk of files you want it to check (even hiding any alarms like conflicts / corrupt files).

They then proceeded to give instructions on how to do the all-powerful "50-50 method," while they insist that a loose Sims 4 package file is the cause for the error.

They are right. A wild Sims 4 Package is the problem. When it comes to finding the offending package, I choose to use the Mod Conflict Detector by Dmitry Malfatto

1. Once downloaded and installed, click on the 'Scan' tab, and click on directory.

2. Press select directory (Select Dir), and browse for your Sims 3 Mods folder.

3. Scan.

4. Once finished, on the left side that has the list of files, there is a column called 'Mod type.' Click on the funnel, and in the drop-down box, click on 'the Sims 4.'

5. Right-click on every Sims 4 file and click 'delete.'

I hope this quick fix helps, and brings more people back to the Sims 3! If anybody has a more efficient method by all means please post it for all of the lazy people like me out there! :P

Has anyone else experienced this, but I had a bunch of cc shoes I installed so I merged them using s3pe, and then when I ran Dashboard, it is now shows that my merge package file is Sims2package instead of Sims3package like how all the individual files are before the merge. Anyhoo, I left it in my game and it seems to run just fine and the shoes still show up.

Hi! I just downloaded it and tried to run it and it's not opening. I'm running windows 10. I tried to run as administer and tried to change compatibility settings and I sill can't get it to open.

Same here. I've tried all the settings I can find and nothings working. The old version still works for me luckily.

The latest version also doesn't work on Windows 11. I tried compatibility modes (Win Vista - Win 8) and run as administrator but no results.
