Default Dance codes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t6KMKcS55Q

After seeing this amazing video I became rather obsessed to get my Sims 3 characters to dance like that. After following and applying much instruction I was FINALLY able to get the player to do what I wanted it to do with Lupin dance codes.

I would like a link to someplace where I can get all the dance codes possible to put into the player.

Thanks!

I copied and pasted a number of the dance codes and sent them to myself in an email. All I have to do is type these into the player playlist and the selected character will dance that dance? As long as I download these codes first, and extract them, the player will read them from my documents file without my having to insert them into the packages folder? Or do I have to put them into the packages folder? Gosh, I feel so friggin dumb!!:

I'm really amazed that I figured this out gleaning with whatever help was offered.

Okay, this is what I understand so far that got it to work:

Once you extract the files you have downloaded from this blog:

http://umpa77.blogspot.com.es/

You use the free 7 zip extraction program to extract the files

Since, apparently, all the folders have the same name, with different dances from different blog posts, you need to rename them with something like 1, 2, 3, etc. Because if you don't the next extraction will say there already is a folder with that name and do you want to overwrite it. YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THAT because, if you did things right, that new folder has a different dance.

I now believe that there should be NO OTHER FILE in the Packages folder besides a PACKAGE file

So, let's say you go into the 1 Dance folder. You should see only ONE package file there. I created a SimsDance folder inside the Sims 3 Package file I had already created and that already has custom content I have in there.

You take ONLY THE PACKAGE FILE from the folder you extracted then copy and paste it into the SimsDance folder you created in the Package folder.

HEY GUESS WHAT?

YOU'LL NEVER GUESS?

One of the other files in the dance you extracted is a NOTEPAD file and when you double-click on it, guess what? Can't guess? Well, it gives you instructions on how to use the file you downloaded in the Sims 3 game!!!! Isn't that something??? Glad I had the brains to try clicking on that notepad file. For a PLUM I'm not so dumb afterall!!

HERE'S WHAT IT SAYS IN THE 1 SIMS DANCE FOLDER I CREATED:

Animation Name:
===============

I write this with Google Translator.... O_O

Since some animation stops before the end , sometimes I split the animation into parts.

From a YouTube comment:

No, there's no problem. In fact I've already answered to that question: "Just putting the game on pause and then selecting the same animation in each character...Then when you click "play" they'll be dancing at the same time ". If you want to know how I placed them in a group, I used the cheat "moveobjects on" so I can move them like if they were an object. You have to take in account I'm using the animation player, of course. Hope I've helped.

Strange forum. Over 130 views and NO ONE offers any help whatsoever. I end up having to be the one to offer help to anyone who wants to give their Sims 3 characters special dance moves. Glad I'm a nice enough guy to do it!

YES, the reason I do my best to help is because I AM GENEROUS with my knowledge.

Why is that you refused to help? Because you are nicer than me?

It's not a question about being "nicer" or not wanting to help. Most players - I assume - use more poses than animations and if you would have asked about those, you probably would have gotten a bunch of responses. I for one have never used animations - they are not that common yet - and don't really see the need to use them either. Therefore it would have been a stretch for me to go looking for them, especially when I have no interest towards them or the specific knowledge where to find them. We use our own free time, remember. The "130" views doesn't always mean the number of different players but most likely just many of the same players (there are not "that" many seekers here) cheking out what's going on, since it's not normal to share files/info here without someone asking for it first. When we find something we've been looking/asking for ourselves, then we just add the "Found" into our post and and link for others where to get it in case they're interested. That's all.

I'm glad you found what you were looking for.

I'm terribly sorry that our members didn't drop whatever they were doing to immediately answer your rather misplaced questions, they must think they have lives or don't exist to serve you or something craaaazy like that.

If it wasn't for these people I never would have figured out anything. You could learn a lesson from them about what it means to be nice and helpful:

http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/dis...dancing-sims/p4

I've gone out of my way to share what I have learned in order to show my gratitude for the knowledge I have gained. Do YOU show any gratitude WHATSOEVER for what I have shared?

I'll let you be the judge of that for the TRUTH in this matter will NOT set you free!!!

Seems to me YOU are NOT terribly sorry AT ALL. You say this because IT SOUNDS NICE

Are you sincere? If so I apologize, but I think I'm right about this

YOU ARE NOT SINCERE!!!

Terribly sorry indeed!!!!

I feel you owe me an apology. Of course, you will never give that apology because...that is WHO YOU ARE!!!

1. I'm guessing most of the people who viewed the thread didn't know where to find the dance codes and didn't bother posting because they weren't able to help.
2. You bumped the thread three times in <24 hours, which breaks the rules against double posting and is generally considered bad form. It's not uncommon for threads in this subforum to go several days without a reply or an offer of help.
3. You managed to find the codes on your own less than an hour after you posted to complain about no one helping you within the previous 24 hour window.
4. You then proceeded to post a hostile message attacking everyone on the forum for not helping you.
5. Then, and this is where it gets really good, you post another hostile message after two (2) mods respond, accusing them of being ungrateful and insincere. You then demanded an apology for...what, exactly? Not having your every whim catered to? If we're all so awful, you're welcome to leave and join another forum.

Long story short: the mods and members of this forum don't owe you anything, especially when you are, as you demonstrated, perfectly capable of solving your problems on your own. They especially don't owe you anything when you're being a total cock because no one helped you right away.
