Haunted Scout Camp Challenge
In honor of Halloween, here is a haunted camp challenges I have been working on!

Welcome to Camp Spectre!
Here at Camp Spectre we pride ourselves on helping troubled teens become productive members of society! Any rumors you have heard about murderous ghosts haunting the camp are totally false and probably made up by jerks who left camp early and didn’t want to admit that they gave up on the best camp experience of their lives. Ghosts are totally not real and there is definitely NOT any vengeful spirits in the camp’s abandoned mine shaft. Why are you still asking about it? No, nothing bad happened that destroyed one of the cabins and left one of the other cabins locked without a key in sight. Those are just fun challenges for the campers. The broken truck and sunken boat in the lake are… also fun challenges. Camp Spectre is COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY SAFE!*
Look, yes, we have lost a few campers in the past, but if- I mean WHEN your camper comes back they will be an upstanding member of society. Isn’t that what you want?

The Challenge
You are running a scouting camp for teens that has definitely seen better days. The camp truck you use to get to town is broken, the boat you could use to cross the lake is sunken, and two of the cabins are unusable after “the incident” last summer that involved the last group of campers raving about the old mine. That is boarded up now, so it should all be alright now! Sure, there are problems, but those are just extra challenges for the teens who come here.
The goal is to escape with at least one living teen and a positive score. Teens can get rewards that may help them escape, help with their character development, or just help make them happier and easier to command.
Rules
- Lights out: From 9pm to 6am. Campers are expected to be in bed, so you have no control over them during this time.
- Group Escape: Only one group escape can be made per camp, and only campers who have earned all of their scouting badges can escape in the group escape. Once the group escape is made, any campers left in the camp are presumed dead.
- Campers can only leave the lot during the day and must be back by Lights Out.
- You can’t buy new items (unless they have been destroyed by a natural cause) but you can use anything the campers make.
- Teens cannot plead with the grim reaper when the Ghost kills a sim, but they can plead if the sim is dying of natural causes.
Game Requirements
- This challenge requires Seasons for the scouting career. If you don’t have the Seasons expansion, you can still try the challenge but you will have to tally what your sims have done to earn badges yourself.
- The Extreme Violence mod is required for this challenge to work.
- I recommend Outdoor Retreat for aesthetics and campfires.
Lot Setup
The lot can be any size you want, but must have the following things.
- 1 pool with a sunken boat in it (aka the lake)
- 1 fishing spot (I recommend using the debug fishing signs and just adding the fishing spot to the pool)
- 4 cabins that are identical in design. Each cabin must be big enough for 2 single beds.
o 2 cabins are normal
o 1 cabin needs to be locked to the campers. I suggest decorating it to look like campers had to leave in a hurry and accidentally left it locked.
o 1 cabin is “destroyed” and the beds are gone. I suggest cobwebs everywhere, chairs on tables, etc. There is no need to lock this cabin.
- 2 Wood Working Tables
- 2 Painting Easels
- 1 Plant Of Your Choice
- 1 Work Out Item
- 1 Mess Hall (Full Kitchen, Tables, Coffee, Book Shelf)
- 2 Toilets
- 2 Showers
- 1 Truck
- At Least 1 Indoor And 1 Outdoor Trashcan
- Mailbox Inside The Camp
- 1 Telescope
- 1 Mirror
- 1 Murderous Ghost

The Ghost
The Ghost can be whatever you want. If you have a mod that lets you have more than 8 sims the easiest way to get your murderous ghost is to have them move in with the teens, enable extreme violence on the ghost, and then killing the ghost. The extreme violence should remain enabled when they come back. Once the Ghost is dead have a teen strengthen the ghost’s connection. Once the connection is strengthened move the tombstone somewhere where the campers cannot get to it. I recommend using the debug cheat to get the cave entrance to the forgotten grotto and using the move objects cheat to place the grave in the entrance behind the slats. This adds a bit of realism to this escape method as a Handiness master will need to pry off the boards to get to the grave.

Level 5: Gain Forest Friend
Level 10: Evacuation

Escapes
Group Escapes
There are 4 routes to escape. Once an escape route is unlocked you don’t have to use it right away if you are trying to get more of the campers to earn their badges, but every night you delay is another night when your campers could be murdered.
Truck Escape
The gardener’s old truck is broken down. Once one of your campers has level 10 Athletics they are able to get it running again. Once it is fixed it remains fixed even if the camper who fixed it dies. There is only enough room in the truck for however many campers have earned their badges at the time of escape.
Boat Escape
The old fishing boat isn’t water tight anymore, but once a camper has level 10 Fishing they are able to fix it up with their knowledge of the lake. Once it is fixed it remains fixed even if the camper who fixed it dies. There is only enough room in the boat for however many campers have earned their badges at the time of escape.
Forest Friend Escape
Maybe you met them at a scout meeting, maybe they just wandered in from the woods. They could be a forest ranger, a counselor, a hermit, an investigator, or whatever you want. Once you have a camper reach level 5 Charisma you are able to recruit this forest friend to the camp. Important things to know about this friend
- They are a young adult or older
- They are friends with the camper who has the level 5 Charisma
- They have maximum Handiness, Fishing, Fitness, Gardening, Painting, and Charisma skills. They also need the Mentor Reward trait. It costs 1000 reward points.
- They are not a camper, so you can control them during Lights Out, but they cannot unlock group escape options.
If the Forest Friend is still alive when a camper reaches level 10 Charisma, that camper is able to convince the Forest Friend to lead the campers to safety. Any campers who haven’t earned their badges presumably get lost in the woods and killed by the ghost.
No Sequel Escape
This is the only option for saving campers who haven’t earned their badges. It requires a camper to reach level 10 Handiness and level 10 Gardening. These can be two campers working together or one camper. Both campers must be alive at the time of dealing with the ghost. At night the Handiness master clears the way to where the ghost is, and the Gardening master plants a death flower on the grave of the ghost. Once it successfully takes root, the ghost can be released to the underworld. The ghost is defeated, the camp is saved. The campers can now either leave the camp or continue working on rehabilitation for additional points.
Individual Escape
If your teen can become friends with the Ghost, you can mark the teen as unkillable. They will be able to join in any group escapes without earning their badges.

Scoring System
Having at least one camper survive is considered winning this challenge, but do you want to see how well you won? See what you scored!
Remember, only one Escape can be made, but you can get points for unlocking others.

Hey I am playing this challenge and have all the required mods. How exactly does the ghost kill a camper? All of my campers are teens (I moved them in with 1 adult and then had him kill himself). Thanks!

I think it is with the extreme violence mod.

I finally figured it out. There is an option to enable autonomous killing on the sub-menu. Once that was active, kill the sim off, and when his ghost comes back he will kill campers.

Yes! That works and that is how I did it. If you didn't enable it before the sim died you can also click on them and enable it when they next appear as well.

¡Hola! Estoy usando el traductor de google, lo siento si esto no funciona bien.
Si, puede encontrar el camión y el bote en buydebug, aunque también puede aumentar el tamaño de los juguetes para niños si lo desea. ¡Son puramente decorativos por lo que depende de su imaginación! (Hay algunas piezas bonitas para un barco hundido en Get Famous si también lo tienes)

Hi, where do I get the badges?Does the kitchen and dining room have to be in a cabin apart from the other 4 cabins or inside one? Do they have to be explorers?. Thank you

The badges are something that you earn in scouting itself, not an item you can get in the game.
You can set up your kitchen and dining room however you want. Basically you just want to start with access to 4 beds, 2 beds that can be unlocked with "finding the key" and 2 beds that can be "rebuilt".
If you don't have Seasons you will, unfortunately, have to keep track of which campers have earned badges on your own. In the "For Reference" section I included the requirements for getting each of the badges. I would suggest making a checklist for each of the campers to make it easier on yourself.

And how do you find that key? Where is it located? If I have season, I suppose that is easier. Thank you
